Wow Keith playing with Vince Gill. That's like Danny Partridge playing with Jeff Beck.

Keith sounds great !!!

You think so ? Really ?

We're obviously hearing different things. To me, he sounds perilously close to being out of tune !

Pauly...after all these years, to discover that you don't know what Rock N Roll sounds like . Well, really ! grinning smiley

I was just waiting for some feedback like that ! grinning smiley grinning smiley grinning smiley It had to come !

But no, truly. I don't think he sounds great at all. He sounds like Keith sounds these days, but the word great doesn't immediately come to mind, not on the basis of the few seconds on offer in the clip ! I stand by what I say, he sounds perilously close to being out of tune. Maybe it was a couple of note "slurs" that particularly grated ?

I agree! I don't think he sounds great at all. At least not on the basis of the very brief evidence provided.

I have never, and will never, roll over in gratitude ON A PERFORMANCE LEVEL because Keith can stand up and play. Obviously on a human level I'm thrilled he is in good health and happy. But if he wishes to remain a professional musician, which he obviously does, then I believe it is fair to judge his performances against that baseline.

There is sloppy and too sloppy. Too sloppy, at which level Keith now performs increasingly, is below the acceptable baseline.

The full clip IS somewhat better. Still not exactly essential listening but definitely better. Of course the source recording is understandably of low audio quality whcih does not help. And why stick that instrumental coda at the end? Messy!
