just a dumb question: does the Japanese edition have any extra tracks?

No, there aren't any bonuses in the Japanese editions - [www.Universal-Music.co.jp] . There's even no Japanese 4K-UHD disc .
thank you irix!
had a fear of missing out, but now I'm feel calm again

Same here! Already listened multiple times to the first verse of Brand New Car. Keith got such a nice timing there and the guitar and drum sound is outstanding. I love this release. Looking forward to the 4k disc!

A hype sticker on 2CD edition states 'Limited Edition 2CD 15,000 Worldwide'
I can not say this would be the rarest 2CD set in the world after the decline of the format.

PS. To take care of the environment is a good thing but 3 panel paper sleeves are evil! I want big chunky plastic fat-boy boxes back.

The 4K-UHD disc has also cardboard packaging.

While the 4K-UHD is Made in Czech Republic, the Vinyl-LPs are Made in Germany:

Glad the sound quality (while not perfect - a bit too quiet in the guitar department) is much better than on previous releases.

They edited much of the banter out at least one the Spotify version that was there at the cinema. Guess it will be on the BD/4k too.

Is the video available somewhere, possibly in High Resolution, to download for a fee?

If you're from Germany it'll soon be available on 3Sat Mediathek as they'll show the whole Concert on December 31st on TV.

They almost always cut together the parts between the songs to a minimum on the CDs while on the video media nothing or only very little is cut. That was also the case on many of the latest reseases and this one is no exception.
The "cow skin" phrase is there on the BD/4k.

I just returned from the mailbox and picked up my CD/BlueRay combo. The plastic wrapper on mine stated "discs made in Mexico."

I think it arrives tomorrow (B+CD). No big if it doesn't. But will be happy to get the live album regardless.

If you think this release on CD has any influence on anything regarding the "environment" you're way off.

However, 15,000 of the 2 CD format will sell. How many copies of the vinyl format are there? Hopefully Universal learned not to print a million of this, a million of that, because not one reissue has sold a million to my knowledge.

I think Moon sounds bloody brilliant, Ronnie’s a bit lost but the rest of the band are on fire, especially Keef!

"Environment" is not about this release. It is about the general trend in the industry. You have a decline of CD format. As a result they are trying to reduce the costs for production. Also, they are trying to follow the overall trend - plastic is bad. Thus, you got cheap and uncomfortable multi panel paper sleeves. It is not for The Rolling Stones only.

For CD we had not the best (due to brittle nature of polystyrene) and chunky but at least comfortable jewel cases. Nowadays you have to deal with those papersleeves. It is very hard to extract and to plant back a CD in the central pocket. The CDs got hairlines instantly after the first time you take them out etc. Not to mention kinks and warps to the papersleeve. Not to mention that it is not that comfortable to store papersleeves. And on, and on, and on... OK, I can live with a papersleeve for a single disc (like Virgin Collector's Edition). But modern multi discs editions in 3 or 4 panel papersleeves are evil. Not a good packaging at all.

As the last nail to the 'environmental' discussion 70-80 grams of polystyrene is much better for environment than 180 grams of polyvinylchloride mixed with polyvinylacetate winking smiley.

So is my impression, too. The bluesy structure of the song is more prominent on this live take. I'm very satisfied with this.
