Justin is a great Stones fan. I learn a lot from his podcasts.

He got me thinking about "You Got Me Rocking." Keith probably puts it on the setlist.

I remember a sort of laid-back performance of "You Got Me Rocking" during a 2002 Giants Stadium concert. This song has been played many times live.
I wonder if you have a favorite live performance of "You Got Me Rocking," or even a really cool part of a performance of this song that is different.

I love the 12-12-12 performance of it. Jumping Jack Flash was pedestrian, and I guess You Got Me Rocking was nothing to write home about, but I've always really enjoyed that performance. I guess I wasn't expecting it and then after being like "really?" I thought it was really good. But I'm sure its not definitive.

Hi Justin; thank you for the work you do on the rolling Stones on youtube.
Woodoo Brew and Woodoo Stew are important recordings that help understand that the Stones in 1993 -94 were firing on all cylinders. I am not a complainer of" the record is too long". Certainly during the Woodoo sessions, ideas, riffs, melodies, harmonies were sparking all over the place in Ireland; it is fantastic when that energy is there compare to "hitting the wall". That collective creativity can't be taken for granted, better celebrate it when it happens!

Definitely best during the BRIDGES tour - fast and pounding. All other times, too slow, plodding.

If it weren't for the HEY HEY it would not have survived past the 94-95 tour. Such a pedestrian song, mainly a derivative of Keith playing Eddie Cochran's Something Else on the MAIN OFFENDER tour - he outright lifted it from his own performance - which is not in the original!

At 3:36... but, listen to the entire thing - insanely awesome.
