Yes but... well I guess it has been awhile (LIVE LICKS if you don't count that ridiculous movie or the live album with HONK) if they're going to release a deluxe or whatever this year, a live album in the spring would make more sense before the tour.

I hope they'll include Time Is on My Side with Irma Thomas

i sure would't mind a best of collection of the jordan years so far 2021-24

10 to 12 tracks no guest performers except maybe irma thomas

but a collect of songs from the most recent tour might sell better if only to the people who attended them as a memento

or if we're going with complete shows from this tour how about both of the shows in los angeles or east rutherford

blu ray be nice too

and i know the video quality won't be like it would be with a professional film crew but judging from the footage of the ghost hounds filmed with the same equipment this summer it be a sight better then the youtube videos available now

Did the making of the album documentary just disappear?

If they wanted to release a concert film they would have filmed a complete show but there were no reports of a filming. Only at one show YCAGWYW was filmed for whatever reason. I wonder what they'll do with that.

No film, audio LP is enough.

Maybe they can combine this: making of the album + album release party + Hackney DIamonds Tour, a 2 hour docu/concert film!

Sadly, I don't think they'll release a live album of the HD tour whilst there may be plans to extend the tour into other markets.

It's always been almost as though they think that if fans can buy a recording of the show first, they won't then go and see it live.

Or, perhaps more likely, they would want to include material from other tour legs in the product..

Oh, it was pretty cool when the Stones toured Europe back in 1982, it was like they were promoting STILL LIFE (so it was not 'Tattoo You Tour' but more like 'Still Life Tour'). The tour and the live album like belonged to the same concept, going hand in hand. One can think whatever about that live album now, but it was a pretty big thing back in the day. Sold well and topped charts in Europe.

But those were the days.

Nowadays live albums are pretty marginal deals, so I don't think releasing them affects anyway to the attraction of the tour. Probably in future some sort of live release in some format - most likely in an expensive box and including footage - will be released as a souvenir of Hackney Diamonds tour for die-hard fans and collectors. Like collecting the last coins out of it. (Hmm.. sorry sounding a bit cynical here...)

...but I remember attending an afternoon screening of LSTNT at my local cinema ...

.. and I was only customer in the house !

Also NO SECURITY came out before the 1999 NS tour, which at most featured 6 songs from the live album, which they were doing anyway in 1997-98. The set list changed a little for the BRIDGES tour later that year but still featured most of the same songs.

In 1970 GYYYO! came out during the European tour - which they were already playing new material so the set list was slightly different.

STILL LIFE had no bearing on the 1982 tour because the set list didn't change. So a live album in spring of 2025 could easily work.

They could do whatever with 2024's shows because, ha ha, the set list will hardly change for 2025 - there's no reason to think, right now, that they'll do more than the 4 new songs they did this year.

In 2024 there's no need to worry about a live album coming out because of what might happen next year when there's YouTube. If they wanted to include 'other' tunes because they play one different song ala Out Of Time, well, they've already done that and similar prior to 2024.

Chances are it wouldn't include Start Me Up because Mick will hear any of Ronnie's solos and cringe (but as we know other awful things didn't prevent them from releasing live songs like Rocks Off on LIVE LICKS). The flat vocals here and there can be fixed. Maybe Universal (or whoever it is, Polydor) will say, Nahhh, there's already the live album with HD and all the other songs have been released 18 times, no one needs another edited down to 4 minute chopping of Miss You or Jumpin' Jack Flash.
