How was your Stones experience this year

How was everyone’s Stones shows this year. Give me your opinions & what stood out. I took Greyhound the first leg of my shows Vegas, Seattle to save money as the Amtrak is not cheap. Flying wasn’t a option as I like taking photos and flying all you see is sea gulls. The second leg me & my two buddies drove to Denver . All in all we had a great time. I really enjoyed all the shows bringing my count to 23 times I’ve see them. I thought the Stones were on fire every show.Glad I made this tour. Driving back to BC went through CA…my god was it hot 100. Many of you are probably wondering why don’t I see em in my part of woods. Well, BC Place has lousy sound like listening in a tin can. Stones please keep rolling and thanks for the memories.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself on this tour! Saw 11 shows, met a ton of great people, super fun. I work for an airline now and was lucky to be able to jump on flights last minute and catch a couple extra shows.

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

I only expected to attend two shows but the two turned into four. I had the greatest time...like always. An absolute blast. I attended one of those shows with a friend I've made through IORR.

I thought the BC Place show sounded great! Perhaps with the roof open it made a difference, less echo? 7th BC Place Stones show for me! McCartney 2019 an Elton also sounded good with roof closed. Lower bowl for Stones and upper for other two.

First North American tour leg I missed since my first show in 1994. Work and family commitments prevented travel and I couldn't bring myself to brave the traffic and lodging nightmare driving down to Ridgedale, ha. (Maybe doesn't quite feel the way it used to with Greatest Hits 19 song setlists, generic stage, crazy prices, etc.) Still had fun following the tour on IORR/YouTube. Hope I get another chance!

My experience was excellent.

First time I attended a tour opening show
They sounded fantastic in Houston and only got better throughout the tour
Thought they pulled off the 2024 tour on a legendary level…they had something to prove and did it.

the shoot 'em dead, brainbell jangler!

Fantastic! Still the greatest show on earth. Only wish they would do more dates. Touring clearly has a physical and emotional benefit for them, which increases their longevity.

On the 7th day God created The Rolling Stones

Made it to 4 shows, all on the rail in the pit, and had a total blast. I LOVE THIS BAND. Only got one Rambler, but that made it more special. Only got Tell Me Straight once. Loved Chanel. Keith looked like he was really enjoying himself. Ronnie always has fun. Mick is just amazing. They sounded better each show. I made a couple of new friends. I love Stones fans. Since my first in 1972, there is simply nothing like a Stones concert. I never dreamed I’d still be going to Stones concerts in 2024 and that they’d still be playing so great. And did I mention that I LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!!

Excellent and did the whole thing including Thunder Ridge on the cheap. Band 2 cost me more than any other Stones show this tour. The first 4 shows were good not great but LA2 and Ridgedale were top 10 for sure.

I have to admit I was a little nervous this time around. In a sort of parent going to see his children playing in a sporting event. There was a part of me thinking to myself can they pull this off? But thankfully they performed magnificently.

It was great reuniting with friends at the shows. Hanging out with the Shadoobie crowd at Giants stadium - MetLife. So many great people.

A friend offered me his extra lucky dip and we ended up with really good seats.

But the best part was the Stones. The songs seemed to mean more this time. It was honestly a 10 out 10 score. The weather was great, the music was great, the setlist was great. The audio and visual was great.

At BC Place, I had 2 in 89, one in 94, one 98, one 2006, one this year.

I guess you did 2 in 94? I had a staff Christmas party that was required attendance on the first night.

Due to living in a non-north american part of the world, no Stones show experience at all (other than youtube) ... I'll make up for that with the 2025 European tour grinning smiley

Amazing. Caught 9 shows and NJ2, Santa Clara and Ridgedale were my favorite 3. Made 9 great recordings. Met a bunch of old friends and made a bunch of new ones including some folks on here. Looking forward to 2025 shows to do it again.

Any chance of getting a copy of the "Great Recording" from Santa Clara? My email should be visible. I know your not sharing much anymore due to reasons I completely understand but figured it was worth asking. THX for your consideration either way!

I had the best time ever! Saw 8 shows on the catwalk rail! Best were Foxboro, NJ2 and my last show Chicago 2. The chess records tour was a highlight as well. Keith is playing and singing better than ever…Ronnie on fire on solo’s especially Whole Wide World! So happy to hear the new songs! And Mick is simply AMAZING!!!

I went to all the shows on the tour. Thanks to my boss for scheduling work around the tour.

Had a blast at all of them.

Getting out of the last one was a real bitch. And had to head to Korea the day after I got home.

Looking for more shows next year.

Which was the best opening band? I saw 5 shows and I liked The War and Treaty in LA the most by far.

I'm guessing this thread is about the tour, which I didn't get to see, but I did order a few CDs:

Now!
12X5
Out Of Our Heads (UK)
Aftermath (UK)
Between The Buttons (UK)
TSMR
GYYYO (can't find the 1986 one, got the box but... needed it for the tower)
More Hot Rocks (it's such a brilliantly jarring comp, I listen to it more than any other 1960s comps)
Totally Stripped
Totally Stripped - Paris 2 CD (arriving next week)
Bridges To Bremen (got Buenos Aires last year)
Living In A Ghost Town CD single

I think that's it. No need to get the LONDON reissue or any of the singles boxes, can't get the self titled and I just can't see any reason to get ENGLAND'S... I already have it, all of those are the 2002 remasters.

Oh and a TATTOO YOU poster featuring Keith.
