‘HYB is Oasis without Liam’
Yeah, it is utter bullcrap, of course!
Are you going to a show, Munichhilton?

Not likely here in Texas. But I will look forward to the concert film they say isn’t happening. I absolutely love Liam and have enjoyed many concerts because of him. Sorry bout the typo above, I was referring to the high flying birds

I thought it was confirmed they were filming the Dublin shows.

Is Keith's doc still around from the Voodoo Lounge era? The geezer who measured the booze for him? Cool anachronistic detail that hasn't been fully explored IMHO

They do know that Liam has missed a whole buttload of shows in the past for various questionable reasons? Even the slightest perceived tummy trouble and it’s Noel on vocals all night…

Not quite. Tour kicks off on July 4...

Is this an unexpected disappointment, or a reality check?
Oasis' manager has clarified that the upcoming tour is a one-off, the 'last time around', and that there are no plans to record new music.

Noel hasn't been writing the greatest music lately apart from the breathtaking "Dead To The World". I can only imagine new music would be a bit disappointing...maybe another Liam & Squire recording though! That would be fantastic

I really enjoyed the first two HFB albums, but admittedly didn't give much attention to the last one. Likewise with Liam: I enjoyed the first Beady Eye album, but didn't listen to his first solo effort very much. There's a couple of good tracks, if I remember.

You oughta check out NG's 3rd record, Who Built The Moon?. Brilliant album. And BE, Beady Eye's 2nd album is top notch and IMHO the "Exile" of the combined Oasis related input since 1994. However the two last solo records respectively have been rather bland, agree about Dead To The World though. The Squire project was great, loads of Jimi Hendrix-esqe stuff even though the melodies weren't excactly original....

Oh, I did purchase Who Built the Moon. It's OK; I just preferred the previous two. Yeah, I'll check out the second Beady Eye album. The Squire collaboration was neat. I need to give a more thorough listen to the album. He's a terrific player.
Here's one for you Max:
Champagne Supernova: Squire or Marr? I'm assuming you've heard the Johnny Marr guest-spot? I think it was in Glasgow?

Interesting: the Wikipedia page for the tour references an NME article, whereby they mention Noel and Liam's 'backing band' So, this reformation is solely 'Noel and Liam'? Aside from the White Stripes, I don't recollect too many 'bands' consisting of only a singer and a guitarist! I suppose it make sense, considering that it's only Noel and Liam who feature in the press photos.

What are the chances they choose a solo song to mix in? Noel goes backstage and Liam sings Paper Crown with the band.
