I thought it was confirmed they were filming the Dublin shows.

I’m unsure whether it’s the Dublin shows, specifically, that’ll be featured, but is going to be a film, documenting the tour. There’s a link to an article about it here, somewhere.

Noel and Liam have been given a stern ‘health warning’

Is Keith's doc still around from the Voodoo Lounge era? The geezer who measured the booze for him? Cool anachronistic detail that hasn't been fully explored IMHO smileys with beer

Not sure why but like the GnR reunion I really can't be bothered about the Oasis reunion...strange since the UYI and BHN albums are probably those I "waited" for the most with the Stones' albums !

For Oasis it's probably down to the fact that I saw them play live back in 2002 and it was about as entertaining as watching paint dry, actually it was worse as they played way too loud, it was horrible. Saw them separately since and Liam was ok but Noel was a complete bore, zero charisma.

I may have seen this, but I’m unsure. The was still a whiff of the ‘rock-star’ around Keith during the 90’s; an element of danger, cigarette smoke, and vodka and orange. Now, he’s grandad Keith; sober and thoughtful. That okay, though; he’s old.

They do know that Liam has missed a whole buttload of shows in the past for various questionable reasons? Even the slightest perceived tummy trouble and it’s Noel on vocals all night…

Since going solo in 2017 he’s been much better. He’s a professional these days, unlikely as it seems.

No, they shouldn’t. They’re carrying the Oasis stories that are keeping us going until July’s kick-off.

Is this an unexpected disappointment, or a reality check?

Oasis' manager has clarified that the upcoming tour is a one-off, the 'last time around', and that there are no plans to record new music.

Interesting: the Wikipedia page for the tour references an NME article, whereby they mention Noel and Liam's 'backing band' So, this reformation is solely 'Noel and Liam'? Aside from the White Stripes, I don't recollect too many 'bands' consisting of only a singer and a guitarist! I suppose it make sense, considering that it's only Noel and Liam who feature in the press photos.

Noel hasn't been writing the greatest music lately apart from the breathtaking "Dead To The World". I can only imagine new music would be a bit disappointing...maybe another Liam & Squire recording though! That would be fantastic

I really enjoyed the first two HFB albums, but admittedly didn't give much attention to the last one. Likewise with Liam: I enjoyed the first Beady Eye album, but didn't listen to his first solo effort very much. There's a couple of good tracks, if I remember.

You oughta check out NG's 3rd record, Who Built The Moon?. Brilliant album. And BE, Beady Eye's 2nd album is top notch and IMHO the "Exile" of the combined Oasis related input since 1994. However the two last solo records respectively have been rather bland, agree about Dead To The World though. The Squire project was great, loads of Jimi Hendrix-esqe stuff even though the melodies weren't excactly original....

Oh, I did purchase Who Built the Moon. It's OK; I just preferred the previous two. Yeah, I'll check out the second Beady Eye album. The Squire collaboration was neat. I need to give a more thorough listen to the album. He's a terrific player.

Here's one for you Max:

Champagne Supernova: Squire or Marr? I'm assuming you've heard the Johnny Marr guest-spot? I think it was in Glasgow?

Technically 'bands' can have any number of members. And members can have different kind of legal status within the corportation. For example as far as I know Axl Rose is the only full member of GnR right now, Axl and Duff are technically hired guns because they don't hold ownership like Axl does.

Ronnie only got full membership in the Stones when Bill left and his shares/ownership part opened up for Ronnie to take over.

It's possible that similar is happening with Oasis. Only Liam and Noel are full members.

Noel Gallagher 27 years ago. He is now older than the Stones were during the Babylon Tour.

What are the chances they choose a solo song to mix in? Noel goes backstage and Liam sings Paper Crown with the band.

Perhaps I may be corrected by someone more knowledgeable, but I don’t think Oasis are renowned for mixing-up their set-lists much. I keep reading ‘tour set-list’; as if there is just the ‘one’, with no rotation. However, I do recollect getting ‘Whatever’ at the 2009 Wembley Stadium show I attended; a song they didn’t perform elsewhere on the tour; or at least not much.
