I got my Cardiff ticket this afternoon (I was trying for four and a half hours)but man that was absolute carnage. I just read the odds were under 3 per cent to get a ticket. I don't know how I got a ticket when so many others did not and I really feel for those fans that missed out. Plenty of my mates did. All I will say is keep an eye on Twickets and also next week hopefully a few more shows may be added.
I'm off for a lie down as that was incredibly stressful (and a little unfair on those die hard fans that missed out).
I haven’t heard of people who have missed out. There’s still tickets available as we speak. The ticketmaster system is chaos, but some patience and skepticism (sold out categories aren’t sold out / they sticking you with expensive tickets) all fans will get tickets.
I know many who have missed out on tickets. Friends and family alike. All dates are sold out and they will need to now either buy secondary tickets (Twickets), wait for official returns (e.g canceled tickets) to be released or hope for additional shows.
Nature of the beast I guess with the demand for these shows. There has to be an easier and more fairer way of getting tickets for events like this though.
It was sold out at 7pm. Enough time for everybody, even for the ones logging in at 2pm. I did that just out of curiosity; some refreshing, going back and forth got me tickets for Wembley.
Still no tickets? That’s just people being impatient or not motivated enough. But even those will get tickets eventually.

Not sure how you motivate a computer screen that tells you that you are in a queue of 100000. Especially those that get to position 1 and then get thrown out to the back of the queue. Or those that get to payment and get thrown out. Or those that pay for tickets only to then go to a blank screen
Would love to know how you jumped to the front of those queues by some refreshing and going a bit back and forth....

I never jumped to the front of a queue; I just waited. But you could wait by switching your phone off and making the best of your day in the meantime. You keep your spot—at least, I did. When it was finally my turn, I got tickets by refreshing and going back a couple of times.
As mentioned above, tickets kept popping up. They don’t put all the tickets on sale at once.
However, the flexible pricing is scandalous. There should be a law against it.

Let’s call them “Official Touts”.
Or they should change their name to toutsandscalpers.com.
Did you manage tickets at the initial price?

I didn’t buy the tickets (I lost interest in Oasis in the early 2000s, and the hype hasn’t rekindled it). I only tried to book tickets out of curiosity, but they weren’t at the original price; floor standing was over £300, and a seat was around £220.

"Fans are calling upon Oasis to step in after being shafted by ticketing site"
What do they expect Oasis to do? Lower their fee?

I wonder if Oasis, when they grasp the big sums involved in touring, will continue touring till they become octogenarians like the Rolling Stones?

…The ticket release pattern is to hold back a lot of the best tickets, in order to drive up dynamic pricing. It is a scam, and if the lawyers in charge of governmental anti-trust fraud do wake up, they should hit Ticketmaster hard.

OT - Ticketmaster / LiveNation Antitrust lawsuit

Seems that the US Department of Justice is preparing to file Antitrust charges against Live Nation, the parent company of TicketBastards. It flows from the Taylor Swift ticket fiasco, but anyone who walked over hot coals to get Stones tix can see the similarities…and cheer.

This is an interesting development:

Glad that the UK government is finally taking action - it's no good getting rid of touts if you allow Ticketmaster to become the biggest tout of all!
What no-one mentions in all this is the murky relationship between (some) bands and resellers with blocks of the best tickets going straight to resale without ever going near an official ticketing website
What is wrong with having your ID linked to your tickets? You upload your id when you buy the ticket and show it when you enter the stadium. Surely that would put the touts out of business?

It's great in a way that such an extreme and high profile example of the ticketing scandal has put the issue firmly in the media spotlight.
Is it possible that governments may at last act to outlaw these hard faced secondary ticketing and dynamic pricing rip offs ?
