"Rarest" show of the 2024 tour
Posted by: HalfNanker ()

I know the set list breakdown is floating around, but has anyone crunched the numbers and given each show a "rarity" score? I'd love to see which show had the mots "least played" songs of the tour.

I know it was not mine! i was at the first show in NJ. I only got 2 songs form the right side of that song list spread sheet. If you add up the frequency for the songs i got, it comes to 298. Since there are 11 songs done every night, we all start with a 220. My guess is that there are some shows in the 280s. Though, i guess you'd have to account for the different number played at the show since the first three had only 18, while the last 8 got 20. So, i guess an average works best, making my show's score 15.7.

If you are remotely interested in this, post your show(s) and your score. We certainly have every show covered here 20 times over!

I'd say New Orleans or Sofi 7/13.

New Orleans had the only Time Is On My Side (first since 1998) with a guest, Let It Bleed and Out Of Time before it was dropped. I know they played Out Of Time a bunch last tour but first in the US and still a pretty big rarity.

Sofi July 13th had Monkey Man, Doo Doo Doo and Fool To Cry which are all pretty choice rotations for one show, IMO.

Santa Clara had the run of Far Away Eyes, Like a Rolling Stone, Bite My Head Off, and Mess It Up.

The Rehearsals.

Based on the rehearsals I saw lists of, these were played in rehearsal but never on the actual tour:

Depending on You
Live By The Sword
Get Close

Sad Sad Sad
Out Of Control
Live With me
All Down The Line

Then these were played on the tour that I didn't see played at any rehearsals:

Let’s Spend The Night Together
Before They make Me Run
You Got The Silver
Happy
Heartbreaker
Let It Bleed
You Got Me Rocking
Time Is On My Side

Having been outside at a fair amount of the rehearsals, I heard all of those songs rehearsed except Time Is On My Side.

For your first list, Get Close is not known to have been rehearsed except the short intro played once. The other songs we heard rehearsed but weren’t played were Under My Thumb, Can’t You Hear Me Knocking, Angie, Worried About You, Slipping Away and Dreamy Skies.

Most of these songs were rehearsed in LA.

I’ll be revealing my mathematical ignorance here, but I am interested. Can you explain the methodology in this calculus?

ive seen a list of all the songs out there on the internet and how many shows they were each played at

go to 18:22 of this video:

then juts added up the number for each song that was played at my show and divided by the # of songs played at my show (19).

Thanks. I appreciate your approach. I went to all three shows in California.
LA1: 15 (300)
LA2: 14.45 (289)
SC: 14.4 (288)

I think the lowest score might be Chicago 2 with 14.3 (286), right?

The rarest show is always the last one you went to.

It may be the last show you go to and for that reason alone it is the rarest.
