I believe souldoggie is correct!
BTW- There is an error in Bill Wyman's book, Rolling With The Stones, that claims they played Charleston, West Virginia in the 60s.
There is an error in Chet Flippo's book, On The Road With The Rolling Stones (1985) that says the Stones played Jackson, Mississippi on 19 Nov 1965.
Also, the US state played by the Stones with the longest gap since the last time they played is Rhode Island (last played in 1965). 59 years and counting!
I will ask a follow-up question: What US states have never been played by the Rolling Stones as a band or as solo artists? Including Mick Taylor solo gigs.
Mick Taylor played in Maine in 1900 you say? Well it's no wonder we don't see him around much anymoreQuote

I find that no Rolling Stone (or ex-Rolling Stone) ever played in these US states (If you know of any Stones related gigs in these states, please cite source):
Alaska (No confirmation, but I heard that M. Taylor played at least 1 show here, probably in the early 1990s.)
Delaware
Mississippi
New Hampshire
South Dakota
Wyoming
I found that Mick Taylor played in Vermont 1987; Maine in 1900. The Faces played in West Virginia on 21 Feb 1975.

The original Rolling Stones played Mississippi.

Kinda strange that The Rolling Stones from the UK have never played in Jackson (the only place that could possibly work is the fairgrounds and it's nothing like New Orleans) or Biloxi, MS at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, which holds 15,000, would make sense, at least in the past, although given how MS is these days, it would make sense today.
Anyone from MS that can afford to buy a Stones ticket goes to New Orleans.

Especially in 94 when they did a lot of College Football Stadiums. The Grove in Oxford would have been fun.

Or Memphis (last show 2006 but still)

Oops, that should have been 2000! Specifically, he played the Stone Coast Brewing Co., Portland, Maine on September 10, 2000. Thank you for catching my mistake.
