After all, this is a man who on one occasion flew from New York to Paris and had to phone the Stones office on arrival because he couldnt remember the address of his apartment
Who wrote those wonderful lines of the people pickin up all the stuff around Keith, his guitar & junk gear from Cheyne Walk and finally moved the man to Nellcôte (?)...
Its weird with those French addys... I still remember where I was in August 83 (Rue de Froidevaux... ) in Montparnasse. But I dont know more than a dozen words (at best) words in French.
But: Where was that famous studio Stones recorded in in Paris? Is it still there?
Pathe-Marconi Studios is in Boulogne-Billancourt, which is in the suburbs just to the west of Paris. (its not too far from the Parc des Princes and the Roland Garros tennis stadium, near the Bois du Boulogne)
It was still there when I had a piss outside it en route to one of the Stones Parc des Princes shows in 1990. They use a different studio in Paris now, though
I think he still has Redlands. I remember hearing a couple of years ago that he wanted to create some sort of buffer to keep the sightseers at a distance.
Thanks, Gary, for Pathe-Marconi Studios. Just had the feeling of that: my base in paris while often there 1982-90 was the Camping Site just outside the shady Bois. Wonder if I isnt go exactly there without specific purpose in 99 with my wife during a weekend trip in September. Will check on maps.
Would the studio be intact now too? Can anyone go in and touch the gear? Guided groups? Anyone else knows (tried to find it thru Google etc, but with no result sofar)?

he still has Redlands OK...he's going to be there at some point before Xmas too
I think he got involved in some local conservation campaign a few years ago, which be what youre referring to..he donated quite a sum of money to the local residents to support it
l thought that Keith was dead , or maybe is a silly rumor but if you play Streets Of Love backwards you can hear Mick saying over and over "Keith is dead", or maybe is drop dead.
Keith lives in Manhattan on 5th Avenue in the 60's right on Central Park and his primary residence is in Westport Conneticut.
He used to live above Tower Records in the Village on 4th and Broadway.
He sold that place to Russell Simmons founder of Def Jam Records who in turn sold it to Britney Spears who is now trying to unload it between 5-6 million.
Keith also has residences in England and Jamaica.
But his kids with Patti Hansen are all U.S. citizens...thus Conneticut is his main house.
