I have a free ticket for tonight's show in LA. I got it through Ticketmaster and I think I can transfer it easily enough. It's in section 428.

Unfortunately, I can't make the show due to a family emergency. Would rather give it to a fan on this board.

I agree with MisterDDD as well. We have lost a number of people who posted a ton. I don't think it has anything to do with Hackney Diamonds. As has been discussed to death on these pages, 99% of concert attendees are not IORR or Shidobee members but casual fans who just want to see the Stones. My friends who are "music fans" basically know the Stones have a new album out but don't really know anything from it. On these boards we tend to forget that we make up a tiny portion of the concert attendees because everyone on here is a big fan and we tend to assume everyone else is as well when in fact most people going to the shows want to hear the hits and nothing but the hits. Mick himself has acknowledged this many times in discussing the setlists and seeing the energy drop when they play newer or lesser known stuff.

Heading to Santa Clara next week, where I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging with Hairball last time through. We are losing a lot of great fans as time marches on, and their absence has left a huge void, not surprisingly.

People are also migrating to Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. I moderate a similar site for recording and the traffic has decreased as well. Similar sites on other social media platforms are taking the newer users. Nothing to do with Hackney Diamonds, the tour or anything else. With people passing and moving on you get less activity.

There may also be the fact that their concerts are so repetitive that many have lost interest.

After the first show there are only one or two songs that change each night, so we are reading the same thing again and again.

I am sure there are many who come here and just read the review of the show and not add input.

I think some of it has to do with the time zones. The shows in the east seem to generate a lot of buzz and live reports and photos etc. I thought there would have been more songs from the new album played live but the Stones have a formula that they don't deviate from other than Keith playing three songs that no one would have predicted going into the start of the tour.

For the "not a lot of interest/conversation for the shows" folks, what would YOU like to discuss? What do YOU want to read about that your not? After tonight there are only 2 shows left and I think the finale will mostly be filled with corporate folks. Setlist is what it is, we get 4 Hackney Diamond songs a night now which is fair. And probably 1 more than I would have expected. It's Summer with a lot going on for a lot of us. Other than setlists which are what they are, not much else to talk about. Ronnie and Keith are on fire this tour. Steve has seemed to settle in nicely. Channelle is definitely a highlight. I really like this stage and video boards. Fun tour

I'm pleased my post inspired another page of conversion but shocked people are in agreement, the numbers don't lie, some prolific posters have either passed or don't feel the urge to post.
The way the Stones are playing now, on fire as some put it, it's sad there's so little interest in these pages even though they are touring a new album.

i don't think it has to do with how repetitive the set lists are

it wasn't a major issue that kept people from posting in 2012-2022

it's not like those shows we're any less repetitive then they are now and we didn't see the same kind of precipitous drop off of interest in these pages until recently

in fact there are 4 brand new numbers being played

the much hated miss you is actually being dropped some nights (something most thought mick would never do)

the set lists are longer then they've been in years

keith's playing three songs a night

and the bands playing is much more consistent

no i think i agree with everyone key posters have since 2022 died, lost interest, or moved on to other sites

it'll be interesting to see what'll happen if they tour europe next summer

it seems to me that the european fan base is a little more larger and fanatical then the american one perhaps that'll drive more interest in these threads then an american tour would

i suppose it also depends if bv keeps the site running that long or has replaced it by then

My personal view is part of the reason it's quiet now is due to the resident trolls that intimidate anyone who disagrees with them or their version of the Stones members, albums, tracks etc.

It didn't work with me, but then again i don't give in to bullying, but i understand why most people run away, it's stressful when insults become personal and severe.

yeah those people are everywhere not just iorr (especially in the last few years)

as i said i trust bv to do the right thing and maybe he'll keep a hand in the management of the site to make sure people like that don't spoil things

i just don't want iorr to go away and if in the end a petty tyrant in sheeps clothes gets control i'll just try not to step on the tyrants toes

but as i said i trust bv's judgment and we're not privy to what's going on behind the scenes i suggest we just wait and see what happens

bv's been doing this longer then i've been alive i think he's earned our trust in his judgment
