On Saturday Blink-182 used the big jumbotron and hung speakers off it so the people stuck way up high could at least have a decent experience. Though one of the members has season tickets there and already knows the place isn't really suitable for music. For as much as those tickets cost, Stones should have done the same. Thanks for the money, suckers. But a few people I know bought really cheap upstairs and got upgraded from 500 to 100.
The side views even at 300 just ain't bad. The speakers were pointed right at us even if we were a bit high. Section wasn't crowed and mainly filled with Lucky Dippers who were super chill, except for a family / group of 7, 3 generations, from Riverside who filled in the row in front of us right before lights out, probably last minute buyers. The kid (maybe ten) was totally rocking out to Rambler while wearing a new T-shirt.
I woulda moved but it was my girlfriend's first show and we are used to crummy / mid-range seats and she could enjoy it without worrying about the tap on the shoulder. I bought her just released Foo Fighters tickets between bands so during Wild Horses I leaned over and mouthed "the things you wanted I bought them for you."
Exact same ballads as the last SoFi show in 2021! Which ain't bad really just kinda odd when once upon a time they mighta shook it up a little bit. Maybe we will get Angie or a wild card Saturday or maybe it will be the same.
Her cousins who we rode with were first timers and really enjoyed the show and were raving afterward too.
But I was happy I could hear pretty decently as both of us pretty much swore off concerts at the stadium a while back. And if it ain't Charlie on drums it doesn't really feel like obstructed view.
Someone isn't doing their job.

I remember at Anaheim Stadium during Sympathy For The Devil they had flames shooting off the top of the stage 50 feet into the air. It would have been awesome if they did that last night and torched the stadium jumbotron.

It's mostly because Jordan is playing it closer to the studio version than Charlie ever did. Charlie had the two kick beat thumping live where as the studio - and Jordan - versions are 4 on the floor.
And there's a tad bit less dexterity involved regarding the string section now.

Enjoyed the concert very much. It was my third show of the tour (Glendale and Vegas were the first two) and I thought they really perfected Sweet Sounds of Heaven now. Pit A was very crowded compared to my first two shows.
So now my admission of cluelessness: when the concert ended, a paper airplane hit me in the shoulder and landed on the floor next to me. I didn’t pick it up. A few minutes later a woman fought her away against the leaving crowd asking if anyone saw the paper airplane and could she have it. It was the set list. She was so thrilled to get the set list, so I was happy for her. But I was disappointed at my total cluelessness. I could have gotten it.

oh my god that's fantastic!
if that's the results when your half asleep i shudder with anticipation to hear what you can do for real
it's already much more balanced and better mixed then almost all the stones iems i've ever heard
just to be clear are you suggesting an audio release here or in a more private space?
not that i'm pressuring you or anything i'm happy to hear what you just shared and understand if it's not something your comfortable doing

Also it's a bit unfair to compare a performance in Argentina to Los Angeles. Of course that's gonna sound a bit more energetic

These Stones shows are at such a high standard from Mick, Keith and Ronnie, I find the lack of interest in these page's surprising, i don't think this new album has struck a cord with most diehards from iorr.
Yeah we get the noisy few ( children who think the Stones are all about rockers) who make HD more than it is, but apart from SSOH and Tell Me Straight could it be the new material is substandard to many ( adults ) life long fans, especially when sang live.
It's all very well having an album of rockers, but they've got to be good, they need to work live to interest people enough to get excited and comment.
Go back a few albums to Voodoo Lounge, when they played new tracks like Love Is Strong, YGMR, Sparks Will Fly, I Go Wild, The Worst, Thru And Thru, Out Of Tears, these at the time new songs instantly resonated with the audiences , real substance that left a lasting memory.

i don't think it has much to do with the quality of hackney diamonds (though they could've certainly played more tracks off of it)
but you have a point about the decrease in interest in these pages
i just checked by this point after the first los angeles show in 2021 the thread was at 11 pages this one's at 4
but there seems to be more people who were actually at the shows versus just commenting from videos then there is now on those thread especially the ones from the european shows in 2022
maybe that has something to do with it
also to your point about the rockers working live they would actually have to play them for us to know if they work or not
i would say angry and www work great live and in fact sound better live as does ssoh
tell me straight and mess it up are good too but I prefer the album versions
i suspect that get close and live by the sword would also work well live

Definitely less interest in these pages, but I don't think it has anything to do with the quality of Hackney Diamonds or the shows.
The passing of Hairball (RIP) alone likely accounts for several pages per live thread by itself. That and a few other long time posters who have passed or stopped/slowed posting. I remember the last LA show threads, and Hairball definitely spurred a lot of conversation here around the shows.
Another factor I believe is BV's pre-tour announcement that he was looking to make major changes to the site, outsourcing etc. I think a lot of us like the simplicity of the site, and the notion of starting over so to speak drove some to find other outlets. I know it did for myself.
Heading to Santa Clara next week, where I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging with Hairball last time through. We are losing a lot of great fans as time marches on, and their absence has left a huge void, not surprisingly.
