The Stones’ last appearance on Top of The Pops, of course: Brown Sugar, Bitch, and Wild Horses, with the Brown Sugar seemingly being the only survivor.

They also played Bitch.

I've always enjoyed the version of Brown Sugar that they did in this sequence of recordings.

It's a backing track with Mick singing and somehow it really rocks (nearly as much as the Clapton version).

At the very end, knowing that he's done a killer version, Jagger says ... "Gor Blimey!"

Love it.

Someone had to mime Keith’s fills and solos.

i can't remember ever hearing that they did wild horses at the marquee show

i assume this is from rehearsals

was it recorded and if so is it now lost or just lost in the vaults?

According to Glyn Johns, Keith Richards fell asleep whilst tuning his 12-string and they called it quits. Thanks, Keef

Too bad! Looks great with the microphones and all. Even if Marquee '71 was a sloppy show it could have had the only live version of Wild Horses before 1975.

I'm still holding out hope that another 71 show surfaces one day with a performance of it, unlikely as that may be haha

My white whale is a live recording from 1971 as well. Hear Me Knocking would be bonus blubber!
