Was she the opening act? She’s amazing.

I saw her 27 years ago up here in Ontario on a House of Blues tour with Dr. John and Charlie Musselwhite. I hadn't ever heard of her until then. She was amazing. I remember getting her autograph backstage too!

Bettye came through Toronto for Jazz Fest in 2018 and I was able to catch the show - terrific to see her again. And those other guys who played after her tonight.

Rear GA crowd was rough tonight if you wanted to listen to Bettye. Most people were yammering away and not even facing the stage. Thankfully my edible kicked in and I was able to tune them out and got into the groove she was laying, especially the last two songs! Wow. What a pleasant surprise. Was amazing overall to see so much vitality from everyone, Bettye, Mick, Keith, Ronnie! Later heard that maybe wasn't apparent elsewhere at other significant going-ons at the same time not in Chicago, lol. Caught The Stones 4 times before this, and yet the first 3-4 songs I had never heard before live, plus later Little T&A from Keith! My favorite from Tattoo You and figured was buried for good with Brown Sugar. The Rolling Stones never fail to surprise me. Can't wait for Sunday. Plotting a miracle to get to the pit.

I guess there's just not much to discuss anymore. Almost the same show each new tour since 2012. Back in 2017 the live updates threads were still around 20 pages per show.
