For the first time since 1975 I will miss an entire Rolling Stones’ tour. I first saw them in 78 in New Orleans and I’ve been hooked ever since. I should have had the hip replacement surgery earlier. But as I hobbled to the bathroom on a walker last night and watched SMU from Denver, I could not help but be encouraged. They are still playing great! We are all very fortunate we have them and this forum to discuss our favorite band. Bring on the European Tour!!!! I will be there!

Truly nothing much to discuss, after listening to the first half of the show thanks to ProfWolf and other YT videos the band is in a good form and Keith is working hard exspecially on a revived SFTD.

Anyone knows how long did the denver show last?

I read every page of each show’s thread, but I don’t comment if I don’t have anything to add. I don’t always have time to follow the shows in real time, but I am always interested in hearing people’s opinions and watching a few videos. There is no lack of interest on my part, but often a lack of time. Life has thrown me some curveballs recently and those are what I have to deal with in real time.

Keith is looking, moving and soundig good. Almost too confident...just waiting for his part in Bitch...and so on...Haha, and seems to really enjoy the new tracks...Good time to be a Stones-fan.

I like that we got Midnight Rambler / Let It Bleed pair from LIB and Bitch / Wild Horses pair from Sticky. Although I do wish they would move on from Wild Horses, there was that stretch they played it 4 nights in a row.

It was probably included this show because of Denver's horse Blucifer lol

I see your point. I can tell you from my own experience that I have other pressing issues in my life and I live in Europe. I'd be commenting on concerts I won't attend. I'm certain they're doing a fine job all things considered. The setlist subject is probably always going to be there, and it causes problems between some of us. In the end there's not much to say, except I hope everyone is enjoying the concerts. Hopefully next year we get our chance over here.

Best set list of the tour. Hope I see something close to this next Sunday in Chicago. Love that Sweet Sounds is back. Miss You is gone. I'd rather see Heartbreaker than Wild Horses or IORR but I do love that the band is experimenting, playing 4 songs of the new album and seemingly tight and playing with drive and confidence. Maybe 80 is the new 30.

I'd agree we dont get many comments now, its been the same tour format since 1989 so not much to report on or keep that many of us re-interested, surely Keith can sing comming Down Again or Sleep Tonight, or at least play BTMMR.

I'd also agree anyone with a negative comment gets chased away, to live in this town you must be tough tough tough lol.

Damn Keith was good on Sympathy tonight.

There's something satisfying about them starting with three straight 60's songs before moving into the 70's rockers like Bitch / Rocks Off and then transitioning to Angry / Mess It Up and then song vote.

i'm sorry but this is a bit much isn't it

i dislike the debbie downers that do nothing but complain and whine and bitch about the shows and band too

but if there not being rude disrespectful and insulting towards the band and there fellow fans (some are i agree) there should be room here for people to be critical

90% of fans don't have the resources or privilege to see them in person and it's not 1999 anymore they can watch an admittedly imperfect recording of the shows basically in real time those people should be able to share there opinions just like everyone else here

keithriffhard is praising the show and setlist and would like a minor change in the beginning of the show (the horror)

bengigan is sharing an opinion about what songs he likes and doesn't and how he would ideally arrange the setlist (unprecedented and indefensible)

the notion that you can't get some idea of what a show is like from a cell phone recording (or preferably a better recording from a taper) is ridiculous

obviously experiencing the shows in person is infinitely better and judging from the reviews and comments from those who were its an overwhelmingly positive experience this tour

and i share that opinion too

great tour, great shows and the band is playing good

but not every fan feels that way let them share that opinion if they can do so in a civil and respectful way

if you or someone who was at the show wants to challenge there opinion then do it

but just telling them to go away and there opinions and feelings don't matter is unproductive and unhelpful

maybe we should begin our comments about the shows with "as someone who was there" or "judging by the videos" maybe that would help but there needs to be room for everyone here

they aren’t overselling it. the lucky dip wristbands are the same color as the pit wrist bands and people are sneaking in. next time, I will be in the first 10 rows and not in the pit.

for those interested i just added a ton of new videos to my post on page three

every song is now there and the band introduction though i had to use a facebook video for satisfaction and midnight rambler is in two parts

You are right, it is shocking to wake up and read some posters attacks. Perhaps people with critism or a dream that Keith sings Coming Down Again should go away if they are going to get insulted, but who knows, if we put the vibe out there it might enter Keiths consciousness to play unsung songs before its too late.
With him singing 3 songs the opertunity is there.
Man its just a dream, how can you get put down for that, according to some posters if we cant cross the globe to see them we shouldnt watch them at all, i love watching the youtube stuff on my sound system close up, closer than you can get when you are actually there, whats the harm in watching that and having a chat about it.

there isn't any harm at all in it and i assume you would admit that being at the show is a completely different experience and might leave one with a very different impression about the performance then watching a video of it shot on a phone

i assume almost everyone can agree with that and i envy the lucky few amongst us who get to see them in person this tour

i'm not amongst them i tried but i live a hundred miles from the nearest show in a rural area

i have a disabled mother to care for and i can't leave her for hours to go to a show in seattle even if i could afford it which i can't

i also can't just drive there either since i don't drive because of sensory issue related to my autism which also make it very difficult for me to be in large crowds

so in the 15 years since i became a fan i've never seen them live and i've excepted that i never will

that makes me no less a fan as many may have noticed i'm on here everyday talking passonitly about my favorite band and know that it kills me that i'll never get to see them in concert

those that complain about those us who experience these shows through a screen realize your 50, 60, 70 or more years old, you live in or near a major city or concert venue, have money, connections and know how

you've been fans for decades before i or many where born and have had infinite opportunities to see them in person

or you live near where there playing and can get to the show much easier and be able to take advantage of lucky dips and other things to see then cheaper

or you have money and resources to use to get to these shows and make up for not being close to the venue

or your knowledgeable and connected to people in the know or in poitions to help you see them

none of these things are sins and i don't hold it against anyone for using whatever advantage they have to see the band

but please spare the rest us your pompous, entitled and condescending opinion that only fans who experience the shows in person are allowed to have opinions or be critical

we're all rolling stones fans period no matter who we are if we're here were home

also don't tell people to just just get up and go see them in person as if we're just being lazy or something

you all know damn well how much effort and money it takes to see them

be more empathetic and welcoming
