Btw I don't know when exactly the Mobile truck moved from 16 to 24 tracks. Wally Heider mobile recorders in the U.S. had 24 tracks by 1972.
Mathijs
According to Wikipedia upgraded from 16 to 24 beween '74 -'75. When true maybe because of the Black and Blue recordings, if they recorded B&B with the Mobile as well ? That album's sound quality is very good btw.

I don't think the Stones recorded with the Mobile after they did the Rotterdam 1975 sessions. B&B was recorded at Musicland Studio's in Munich and vocals in Switzerland.

As far as I understand it they did some recordings in Rotterdam with the Mobile. Or maybe just testing some guitarists.

They recorded the entire Rotterdam 1973 and 1975 sessions with the Mobile, but as far as I know this was the last time they used it.

Can it be that they used parts of the sessions for the B&B album?
