Just back at hotel. Pit was getting a little rough, People shoving. As for the show, a bit disappointed no Whole Wide World but Monkey Man was nice. WWW needs more attention in my opinion. Guitars were so powerful the entire night. Sympathy, GS, JJF were roaring. A bit more walking in Philly tomorrow and then it’s off to Cleveland

Got LD pit B tonight. Enjoyed the show &setlist. Jagger seemed annoyed with the guitar sound. A few times he motioned for it to be reduced. A great night out. Wife’s first show. Took me24 years to convince here to go. She seemed to enjoy it.

Monkey man was a bit of a mess. They played it without the capo on the second fret and I think that really messed them up. But like always. Even a botched Rolling Stones song (imo) is great.

Capo on the 2nd fret?!?! Monkey Man?! They have never played it with capo live. Root note is C#.

SSoH I wouldn't say is a Shine A Light ripoff, however it is an exact copy of Otis' I Got Dreams To Remember.
Maybe someone pointed that out for Mick in Georgia and he got cold feet for performing it??

RAMBLER is incredible...love that business of weaving in YOU GOTTA MOVE into the middle...!...looking at previous versions on this tour, Mick got close to that at MetLife and Foxboro, but didn't quite make the explicit quote of the Sticky Fingers version of YGM, at least to my ears.

Great Show last night; Sympathy was very strong, Gimme Shelter very strong, Midnight Rambler awesome, Honky Tonk Keith on fire!

The new songs( more melodicand pop) suffer in a stadium context where the mixing of the orchestra is saturated. Some of the ending of songs are very sloppy but somewhat fun to watch, like a tittle bit of a trainwreck !!!That's rockand roll.

Thank you The Rolling Stones and the fans; it was a fantastic night in Philly!

I'm amazed how these key indications behind the songs never seem to lead to problems. Some of them are just plain wrong haha

Another amazing show. Really thought Keith was on fire and ripping every song. Maybe the best Keith show I’ve seen yet. Jagger may be singing lead on songs like HTW and Flash but there’s no doubt about it, those songs still belong to Keith. Really seemed to be attacking the riffs with lots of energy. My god I love this band!

Also fun fact for the tour, a song from Satanic Majesties has been played more than SFM. Who had that on their bingo card?! Brian and Charlie are laughing in Heaven. Here’s to a 2,000 Light Years From Home bust out next.

It will be interesting to see if Keith continues the 3 song set. We will likely never know the real reason but I suspect as someone else said, that Mick just needs a longer break mid show. He works so hard and no matter what kind of shape he's in etc, he's almost 81. Those 3-5 extra minutes can really provide a much needed extra rest.

In my opinion some songs sound good live, others less so, hence their choice regardless of the album on which they appeared.

The ahow waa amazing as always. Thus was my 3rd show if the tour. They continue to amaze. Set list was very good. Not as good as NJ2 but still awesome.
Just wish they’d go back to get off of my cloud instead of iorr. Cloud really sends the crowd into a frenzy after start me up especially with Steve’s drum intro. Iorr doesn’t bring the same energy it more laid back. It’s still good but cloud works way better. Looking forward to Cleveland on Saturday

On an Amtrak, headed ‘back up to Boston’ after an awesome night. Got Pit A thru Luck Dips which was incredible (if tiring, especially as Stones didn’t start until 9:30).
Got to meet and hang with some of the ‘Shidoobee’ gang prior, which was super fun. And I met and chatted w. Bill German a couple times, and I just saw and said hi to Chuck Leavell, who is on this northbound Amtrak. Wish I had thought to tell him ‘bring back Sweet Sounds of Heaven.’ ;-)
Just happy we got Rambler which wAs awesome as always. Like at Foxboro, to me, the whole ‘home stretch’ is just so intense. Satisfaction was killer. Another fantastic show ‘in the books.’

Hpoe they skip IORR,its terrible when Keith try solo on this one

My thoughts were, I would only do 2 shows this tour. Having been totally blown away after NJ1, I immediately bought tickets for NJ2. Last night at Philadelphia, I was again amazed by how on fire they are this tour. Maybe I was expecting a little less, age being considered but what can be said? They are, for the most part, outdoing themselves.

I’m having a blast taking in The Stones. My last show is Denver. So happy I got a chance to see em 3 times this tour. Denver is very significant for me due to personal reasons. Can’t believe the tour is 1/2 over. Will be # 23 for me.

I will say this was one of the more enjoyable shows for me mostly because the other shows I went to were work related, but this was all fun.

It was good to see Doug down front along the rail in Pit A.

What perfect weather. Good set list.

I prefer Wide World to Mess it Up. I think they have got a better groove on it than Mess it Up which still seems to be in the works.

Not sure why we don't get SSOH anymore, but I'll take the 3 Keith songs. Rambler was just blistering. They need to keep it in the set.

The one thing I do miss on this tour is the pyrotechnics. It's a shame they left them out.

Next stop is Cleveland!
