Why 2 shows in Vienna- small market, no?
It's more or less the center of Europe - an easy drive from places like Budapest, Brno, Zagreb, Salzburg, Prague, Bratislava, etc. Good airport connections. Relatively civilized. Good Ultravox song.

I'm still in doubt about this. They never ever played two shows in the same city in Austria and 1973 was the only year where they did two shows in Austria at all.

Hola to fans in Spain! In Barcelona Camp Nou is not available for concerts (and football), right? So the venue might be Estadi Olímpic.

If the 2 Vienna show rumours were a mistake. Surely BV would have corrected it by now

Dates are settled according to wellknown rock journalist in Paris and long time Stones fan. Paris date is : May 17. As written here. I could not get the location though already booked.
It's all about the marketing.Quote

It doesn't have to be a mistake. It's a list of rumours and nothing is certain on such things. In the last years plans changed last minute (Helsinki 2022 and Birmingham 2018 for example) and so on. Nothing is confirmed and it's just my personal feeling that they're not able to sell this stadium twice with such high prices when the only have been there three years ago.

Coldplay did 4 sold-out shows there last year. Cheapest tickets were € 180,-

Two shows in Vienna would certainly mean no shows in Eastern European countries such as Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia etc.

Bruce (similar vintage, ticket prices) European dates included double headers in Lille, Liverpool, San Sebastián etc - ie plenty of demand

That was "about a hundred years ago" by my calculation. Maybe our boys are getting smart and receiving break$ from cities in exchange for playing twofers and bringing in tens of thousands of visitors during their weeklong residency. It's also less travel hassle for them.

They didn't strugle, they maximalised revenue.Quote

Bruce immediately sells out stadiums here in Germany while the Stones struggled last time to fill up Munich and Gelsenkirchen. In Munich there were thousands of cheaper seats available in the weeks before the concert and the official numbers of sold tickets prove this. They even had discounted tickets for 89€ via a local newspaper Sale.

Maximizing revenue with €89 tickets - [iorr.org] ?

If the concerts mentioned in the article are real in Vienna in July, will a double concert only take place at the beginning of July, or will we stay with the original August rumors?Quote

Oe24 finally read the rumours on the possible 2 Vienna gigs - they even have a screenshot of iorr.org
[www.oe24.at]
Due to some other concerts in july at the Ernst-Happel-Stadium, a double pack seems unlikely - at least in July.

Maximizing tickets with 525 euro pit and innenraum tickets and therefore having to discount some 5.000 tickets. They sold 90% of the tickets against maximized prices.
They could sell out in minutes, but that is not the game plan if you want to maximize ticket prices.
The only thing which is left to further optimize is dynamic pricing. Which is happening more and more. Let's hope it's not that bad for this 2025 tour.

Maybe after Guns n Roses (July 24) if they get the stage ready in 2 days, maybe the concerts on July 27 and 31?
