Hi all,
As Copenhagen has rolled in, anyone heard about the possible date? And is there other Scandinavian city in plan?
See you!

I don’t see yet in Bjornulfs list the rumoured Amsterdam show. I really hope that that rumour is true. And yes I know things can still come and change. So fingers crossed!!
I'm sure there will be a show in NL. No tour without a show there. Maybe another venue? De Kuip again?

In 2018 there was no show in the Netherlands. And De Kuip I don’t think so because in June the Dutch band Di-rect will give the last concerts ever in De Kuip. Is not allowed anymore to give concerts over there

Their last European tour without a show in the Netherlands would be painful... they have history here... their first show on the European mainland 08/08/1964 Scheveningen! What a riot!

I still believe in the 17h may for Paris but maybe things have changed. I doubted they put 2 shows in Vienna and Barcelona. Will see. Things started to get excited

I've only hear loose speculation about Ullevi in Sweden. Stockholm would be a dream but I'd take anything in the Nordics honestly, it's easy to travel between us.

Because you are the only one who suggested the date of July 13th for Munich

The newspaper article says 'voraussichtlich am 12. Juli' (=likely) - [iorr.org] .

But where does @Schwonek get the date July 13th?
"Likely" could also be the 11th, 14th or 17th.

looking at the hotel rates July 12th is much more likely than July 13th (but on the other hand high rates for hotel rooms may just reflect the rumors that the show will be on July 12th)

Always more exciting and real when BV starts posting the list of rumored shows. The post said 3 months for the tour but how many dates is it likely to be though? I’m sure the Stones will have many rest days as they usually do and require.

I absolutely agree and did change it back to 12 in my post a few pages back. But I change it to 13 because of this:

Vienna was mentioned 10-15 august
Berlin was mentioned early june

No info regarding to dates for London in this topic iirc

and I think Munchen could be 13th or 12th

13th was mentioned somewhere here. I have no own direct sources. 12th looks very solid indeed also if you look at hotel prizes. Still not sure what the deal is with te renovation of the olympic.

Hotels prizes are high because of the published rumour Not the other way around. Many people booked hotels for the 12th. They recognize the increased bookings and the prices rise. But I agree that the 12th is the way more solid rumour.

But they stay for several nights. Then you would see the increase for several nights too which isn't the case. And I doubt they stay in more than a few hotels.

I booked several hotels this year based on rumours and I'm doing this since 10 years. This way I always get the best possible rates. If I don't need the room I simply cancel it for free.

Yes, no problem, as long as the hotel offers free cancellation. Same with flights & trains.

Hotel prices in Munich on the 12th are more to do with it being a Saturday anyway IMO. Sunday is always the cheapest day for hotels.

you might be wrong. At least hotel rates around Munich Olympia Park are much higher on July 12th than on July 5th and on July 19th

I booked a room near the Stadium for around 100€ right after the rumoured Date was published. The next day it was 300€.

Munich 12th is solid, as it is mentioned in the newspaper. 13th was not mentioned.

I wasn't really looking that closely at Munich. Hotels in Germany in general are cheap compared to other places in Europe.

6th and 8th most visited cities in Europe, it’s not just about local population any more (pretty big anyway). They’ll get the marketing going like they always do…
you're right about the popularity of those two cities. But their population is that not bgig (Vienna some 2 millions, Barcelona: 1,6 million. – Berlin: 3,6; London 8,8; Paris 2,1)

and – btw – various reports from Austrian news sites were quoted above. But as far as I remember non of them mention two shows in Vienna (not even as a speculation)

For what it is worth, Paris itself is 2.1 Millions, Paris area is 7.1 Millions

Don't forget that in Austria it's not just Austrians who go to concerts, but also Czechs, Slovaks, Hungarians, Slovenians, and Croatians, if there's no concert in their country.

I was thinking that also ,as to why there are maybe 2 dates in Vienna . Easy to reach from Prague and Bucharest by train.

Dates are settled according to wellknown rock journalist in Paris and long time Stones fan. Paris date is : May 17. As written here. I could not get the location though already booked.

similar for most European cities – but it was been quite a long time since the Stones did two (or more) shows in one city – except for London and Paris (in 2017)

It's more or less the center of Europe - an easy drive from places like Budapest, Brno, Zagreb, Salzburg, Prague, Bratislava, etc. Good airport connections. Relatively civilized. Good Ultravox song.
