The new U.K. system is a ‘visa waiver scheme’ The EU, itself, is introducing one this very year. If you’re a British passport-holder, and wish to see the Stones in Italy, you’ll have to apply for the waiver.

As I understand it, the EU visa waiver won't be in place before the tour. The EES (automated IT system) is due to be introduced 'sometime in 2025' and the ETIAS (the visa waiver) 6 months after that, so should be fine.

Yes, I’d read ‘some time in 2025’, too. It has already been delayed multiple times, of course.

Metallica did a show in Antarctica so I don't think it's impossible the Stones could do one on Easter Island, but there really isn't any point to it except just getting to say you've done it. Not really worth the effort.

I recently received a message from my employer that for EU citizens it will be needed from April. I don't know, maybe it has already changed

That’s the U.K. waiver for non-British citizens. It’s the EU waiver for non-EU citizens (U.K., etc) that is supposedly coming in at some point this year.

The "last" show won't be planned and billed as such. It will just happen. See Miami 2019 for Charlie.

That's happenstance in regard to Charlie and Miami.

1971, 1990, 2007 and 2013 tours ended in London. It's possible they could end 2025 in London but so many things have to work out, mainly, availability.

And rest tours did not (1990 tour ended in London only because they postponed 2 Wembley shows, the tour was supposed to end in Czechoslovakia). I don't think they would plan their final show. They will just keep touring until they can.

I agree. Planning a final show would be admiting that they're 'too old'. And with Mick especially I feel like he's the kinda guy who doesn't want to quit working.

Wondering if the belgium rumour will hold up and if so, where they would play. Werchter grounds? Stadium is not available. Also with possible 2x ams in the mix, and guess they will do dusseldorf, koln or something else in the nrwf area it seems kinda saturated.

Re: European Tour 2025 rumors

The last three tours they have added a smaller venue at the end. Hard Rock, Waldebuhne, Thunder Ridge.

These events were added during the tour.

I can't understand how in the past years we already had many safe rumors in this period... even in 2022 when they announced in March.

Let's hope that the rumors about an announcement by mid-January are true.

The tension is killing me. I'm praying for a ticket for my birthday in late Febuary! I really hope we get word soon.

Keep in mind the entertainment industry is barely functional for several weeks around the holidays as someone is always on vacation or some office somewhere closes down for a few weeks.

Also looks like the annual band meeting was only a few weeks ago?

Maybe rumors page at the end of this month and an announcement in February.

In 2018 they confirmed the tour Feb 26 with a start on May 17.

In 2022 they confirmed the tour Mar 12 with a start on Jun 1.

Slight correction it was Monday March 14, 2022 I remember the day very well. It was the first day of Canadian March break which was the busiest day possible for my flight from Toronto to Honolulu direct.

I should have reconsidered the date because I was hoping to get an upgrade to business class in the lie flat seat for the 10 hour flight. 30 of 30 business class passengers checked in and I was left #1 on the upgrade list and stayed in economy

My silver lining was that the tour had been announced so I spent the entire flight sitting upright anyway, bought wifi and used my laptop to book some travel for the EU tour. I remember booking a flight to Zurich, which I ended up not showing up for because the Bern show got cancelled.

The general onsale was that Friday, so the timezone was favourable for me to buy tickets that evening being 11-12 hours behind Europe.

If I was in Toronto I would have to get up at 4am for ticketdrop. Which it looks like I will have to do this time around. Or maybe I'll go back to Hawaii again to repeat this experience, but this time hope to get that business class upgrade.

I would pick just about any London venue but Wembley. For several reasons, it's probably the worst large concert venue in the city! Not to be confused with the previous stadium which stood on the same spot, played 12 times by the Stones between 1982 & 1999, which was a very different place.
