The new U.K. system is a ‘visa waiver scheme’ The EU, itself, is introducing one this very year. If you’re a British passport-holder, and wish to see the Stones in Italy, you’ll have to apply for the waiver.
As I understand it, the EU visa waiver won't be in place before the tour. The EES (automated IT system) is due to be introduced 'sometime in 2025' and the ETIAS (the visa waiver) 6 months after that, so should be fine.

Yes, I’d read ‘some time in 2025’, too. It has already been delayed multiple times, of course.

I recently received a message from my employer that for EU citizens it will be needed from April. I don't know, maybe it has already changed

The "last" show won't be planned and billed as such. It will just happen. See Miami 2019 for Charlie.

And rest tours did not (1990 tour ended in London only because they postponed 2 Wembley shows, the tour was supposed to end in Czechoslovakia). I don't think they would plan their final show. They will just keep touring until they can.

I agree. Planning a final show would be admiting that they're 'too old'. And with Mick especially I feel like he's the kinda guy who doesn't want to quit working.

I can't understand how in the past years we already had many safe rumors in this period... even in 2022 when they announced in March.
Let's hope that the rumors about an announcement by mid-January are true.
