In the past, how easy has it been to get face value pit tix in Paris or Rome closer to the show date? Are ticket drops as common as the US?
Small
But they put on every ticket on sale directly, not like the us. Also everything is face value
At least i hope it stays this way

What does this mean? They release all available seats/PIT on first day of sale?
Thanks in advance

Negative.
Pit ticket drops have happened in Europe before.
You have to be in the right place at the right time.
Don't be Dr. John McClane. Even if 'tis the season.

I never said they reduced prices. By "drops" I mean more face value tickets being put on sale after Day 1.

Is it confirmed somehow that the show in Paris is at the Stade de France. It’s the sole stadium in Paris where they can pack 80 000 people for a farewell concert. Longchamps was a huge mistake: too small, poor sound, poor ambiance. Do remember that they were the first évent to open SdF in 1998. They always were great there.

Certainly not in 2007, one of the worst concerts I've ever attended. A SDF with barely 50,000 spectators, Keith completely lost and uninspired, Ronnie inconstitute as too often...

Try to ignore the ones mentioning any "hair of the dog".

What about the rumours of Prague, someone claimed few pages ago?
So we have now: Rome, Vienna, Munuch, Berlin..? Pretty boring...

Hippodrome de Longchamp is not too small.
It's a very huge site. It depends on the way you manage it.
There were 85.000 people for each concert of the Stones in 95.
At the Dangerous tour of MJ there were 90.000 people.
And Pope Jean Paul II gathered 1.000.000 people for a great mass to close "JMJ".

The Pope closed a gig of Jean-Michel Jarre with a mass?

You meant the 'World Youth Day' in Paris, 1997 (Longchamp Racecourse) - [en.Wikipedia.org] ?
