Love this film. Came out just before I started getting into The Stones

Based on the rumours on this board.....

Think it's a real pity that nothing has been done to improve the editing throughout.

The original sound isn't too bad, although, again, it would have been great to have that improved.

Also, some outtakes ?

Just wonder if all the original film and sound still exists ??

A golden opportunity missed again.......

I ordered this on Amazon in USA back in December and now estimated delivery is February 16th.

It depends where you live. There ofcourse is a difference between release date and delivery date. Most of the time Amazon overestimates the time of delivery and you will get it sooner than indicated.

My most loved Stones film. The colours are amazing and the band still on a beautiful edge. I am staggered there is nothing about this from The Stones official channels. The Shop, Insta, nothing. So weird. This era was so good.

How is the sound on the 4k disc?

It doesn’t appear any one on this board has a copy yet. Can’t even find a review of the 4k on line except those made from AI

I just got into the Stones just before then as well. I know many on here say that tour sounded horrible but for me I love the sound and performance of the band. Keith and Ronnie at their weaving height. The only high quality sounding shows available are Hampton and then the songs on LSTNT which is from multiple shows. Tells me they recorded much more. Start me up is from Chicago...can we hear the rest of that show in soundboard? Can we hear the whole Arizona show?

I'm a bit amazed though of the big interest in this, unofficial, release of an already released video from 1981. At the time it didn't catch that much attention.

It's not unofficial, it is a legal genuine release by Kino Lorber, a very respected and excellent label, which is known by releasing high quality blu ray and 4k movies.

With 'unofficial' he certainly meant that's not officially released by the Rolling Stones or their record company (Universal Music). Maybe it could be called a 3rd-party re-release.

Yes you can see it like that, but than the blu ray's and 4K's of "Gimme Shelter" and "Performance" are not official either, because they were released not by the Stones and their recordcompany but by Criterion, it's just a case of who owns the rights to release those movies.

The japanese Blu Ray got a 5.1 option but it's mainly a bit of crowd noise coming from the back. The music sounds the same as the stereo mix. It sounds a bit flat and I think the sound improves with the New Jersey shows.

Recd mine from Bull Moose last Friday. No corrections or upgrades were done on audio or video. Save your money.

But these are gaming headphones, right ? Are they suited for music ? I can't imagine there are discrete drivers to recreate an actual Atmos mix and would they "connect" ?

The existing BD is great but isn't this supposed to be a new scan ? Did you watch it on a 4K TV ?

This is disappointing news. I was hoping for a full 5.1 remix with instruments coming from all directions.
