Lol, well my wife and I will be there and I'll try and give a solid recap of both good and bad from Thunder Ridge. I have family in that area so we are making it a weeklong trip. Just got back from seeing the band in both Orlando and Atlanta but couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the Rolling Stones at this venue with family so close by. Anyway, we are looking forward to the trip and hopefully it goes without too much trouble.

They might want to consider organizing shuttle buses bundled with tickets from Little Rock, Memphis, Kansas City, St Louis, Tulsa etc.
I remember rolling up to Soldier Field 1997 and there was a portable box office selling combo tickets / bus tickets to Madison.

It's incredibly shortsighted of organizers to have not coordinated shuttles between the closest cities such as Branson or Harrison for those wanting to avoid the hassle of traffic.
I'm surprised that even the official Ticket & Travel Packages don't include a shuttle bus between the hotels and event.

I'm going too, looking forward to it! Really looking forward to who might open to draw some sales, might be somebody big.

Yes, it might just be somebody big, probably another country artist if I had to guess. Are you staying in Branson? My wife and I got a really good deal on rooms and will do some sightseeing while we are there. If you happen to see someone in an IORR shirt it will probably be me so be sure to say hi.

Ah, yes... the IORR t-shirt.
Do people still have and wear that?
Manages to stand out, even in a crowd of Stones t-shirts...

Staying at the Chalet on the Lake, about halfway between downtown Branson and the venue. I will certainly say hi if I see the shirt

I am starting to wonder if this show will even happen and not get moved to an arena, shed or casino in a "safe" area.
I know they always have ways to fill the place but in this case you would need a population to draw from.
Ticket sales are absolutely dire. Also the location doesn't seem optimum for big shows at all. ...

I expect that the final show of the 2024 tour will take place as originally announced. It's occurring to begin with because Johnny Morris wants to promote the "nature arena" he's already spent a fortune creating, and what this concert costs him is simply not an issue.
In 2017 Morris spent $5.5 billion buying out the other remaining major sporting goods/gun seller national chain in America, Cabela's. He owns both now, 180 stores nationwide, and they're gold mines.
"While Bass Pro is privately held and doesn’t disclose how much of its $8 billion in revenue is from firearm sales, its website lists 880 [different kinds of] guns for sale..."
[thegunzone.com]
Cabela's stores retained its name, and Morris keeps "guns" or "firearms" out of the names of either, but that's where the real money comes from. I say this not to be political -- I own guns myself, both handguns and long guns -- but don't believe Stones fans need to be left in the dark about where Johnny Morris' great wealth comes from.
I believe he'll make it work if he has to give away free Stones tickets in his stores.
And I'm confident the Stones' guarantee they're getting for this show must be so high that whatever happens, they'll profit very nicely.

Yeah, I have had the impression that this pretty much is a promotional event for the site, and your background info about the owner confirms it. From the point of view of the Stones this is more like a private gig that just happens to be a public event - the guarantee fee, if one can even call it that, must be massive.
But a gig is a gig, and The Stones gig is always something special - so those who are going, will surely have a great time!
Hmmm... Since the sales suck, I see a scary scenario: "Buy a new gun! A free ticket for The Stones concert as a bonus"...

I think the highlight of this concert will be if the stones design a Bass Pro trucker cap with the tongue logo on the bass's mouth.

Any word on who might be the opener for the Rolling Stones at Thunder Ridge?

I was considering this one but I don't see any particularly cheap tickets and I'm put off by the difficulty of getting to the venue. Any advice? Is Branson basically the hub of the area?

There's a couple nearby areas slightly outside the touristy Branson area, I booked a room at the Chateau on the Lake which is about halfway between downtown Branson and the amphitheater, and there's Big Cedar Lodge which is owned by the same people who own the amphitheater and is the closest to it.

I am flying in to Fayetteville Arkansas and driving. Going solo so willing to coordinate. I fly Delta and it's the closest Delta city. Also have an extra pit ticket but those aren't cheap.

Also check Stubhub...
If the seated sections do not sell out on TM, Stubhub Sellers may lower their prices as the date gets closer.
