From the Guardian:

"It's got a raw sound quality, and the reason for that is that the basement was very dingy and very damp," says Mick Taylor, Stones lead guitarist for the five years between 1969 and 1974. "The roof leaked and there were power failures. We had to deal with all that, and go with the flow."

The flow to which Taylor refers was the fragrant drifting in and out of some of the era's most interesting characters. Musicians like Bobby Keys, the sax player who taught Keith Richards the pleasures of throwing furniture out of windows. Drug dealers like Tommy Weber, who arrived with his children, and a plentiful supply of cocaine. Glamorous friends like Stash Klossowski, son of the painter Balthus. There were record execs, family members, groupies, wasters and journalists.

"People appeared, disappeared, no one had a last name, you didn't know who anybody was," remembers Robert Greenfield, who was at Nellcôte to interview Keith Richards for Rolling Stone. "There were 16 people for lunch, and lunch went on for three-and-a-half hours. It was an unparalleled cast of characters."

Jake Weber's father, Tony Sanchez, was a close associate of the Rolling Stones
and worked as their drug dealer and general helper. Jake Weber's experiences at
Villa Nellcote were detailed in his memoir, "Up and Down with the Rolling Stones:
My Rollercoaster Ride with Keith Richards"

According to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Weber), Jake Weber's father was not Tony Sanchez but Thomas Evelyn "Tommy" Weber (originally Thomas Ejnar Arkner), a racing driver. Also, "Up and Down ..." is Spanish Tony's book, not Jake Weber's memoir.

The stay at Nellcôte and the drug mule episode are also mentioned in the Wikipedia article.

They were not at Nellacote.Preston only played on Shine A Light.He either recorded his part in England or LA.Brown met the Stones later on while as a member of Wonderlove.The only studio album Brown played on was Black n Blue

Susan Ann Caroline Coriat, the mother of Jake Weber

She was not in Nellcote. Susan was due to join Tommy and their two children in Nellcote. But at the same time, she was in England (Bowden House) in a treatment center (for schizophrenia, among other things). There she met and became friend with Anita Pallenberg who was detoxing...Then Anita left to find Keith in south of France for Mick marriage. Susan went to stay with friends in Aderley, but she couldn't go to the South of France because she died in June 1971.

So charlie was a drug mule when he was 6 year old and hanging around this crazy envirement with his 8yr old brother. Meanwhile his mother died of an OD in 1971 (unsure if the was at nellcote or somewhere else).

Absolutely crazy stuff.
