Here it comes. Brian has described his ambition as a musician that he is after sounds. He had a wonderful ear for that. What is peculiar with Brian is that his contributions have turned out to be timeless - they still today work and sometimes even shine like they did back then, no matter simple or whatever they were. That's true musicianship - no bullshitting or making art for the sake for it, but knowing exactly what a song needs. Here is one stunning example of that. Still today one of the most striking guitar solos ever put on a record. Killer stuff.

Nice example Doxa. That's one of the most vicious sounding guitar solos ever to make it into the pop charts. Punk more than 10 years ahead of its time.

Someone posted this not too long ago. It is a brutally honest description of Brians "Rise and fall". From forming the band to being ruthlessly discarded as useless along with Maryann at the time. It also goes into the people he hurt, such as when he was thrown out of his childhood home by his father only to adopt another family and get the daughter pregnant and leave over and over again.

Some great snippets that I personally have never seen. Bill weighs in on Brians contributions on Stones masterpieces such as "Ruby Tuesday" (Flute) or "Paint it Black" Sitar.

Many comments from familiar names in Stones lore. Well worth a watch.
