We pulled 139 and 102.
Self upgraded to front floor on Keith’s side, but didn’t make it into the pit.
Hopefully, we will have better luck next week.

Can they do anything if someone who is unable to stand for the entire show, or otherwise disabled, claims their Lucky Dips tickets and finds that the tickets are for standing in The Pit?

Go guest services, or better yet find someone in the seats you want and offer to trade

Unbelievable how 20+ people had to wait an hour for a silly wristband. I waited about 15 minutes, then said forget this and went in with my Pit A ticket and no wristband. It took some convincing at the pit entry, but I made it in by 7:30.

What did the pit wristbands look like this show?

Yeah.. that was always the option I was gonna go with as it dragged on. One from our group did just that and came back after refusal at gate. Crazy that it would be an issue.

WISHFUL THINKING: If anyone is looking to get rid of their (extra) pair of Lucky Dip to the Vegas or either of Chicago shows, please hit me up.

Been checking everyday on the RS/tour site hoping they maybe throw a few back up but alas. Still stunned on how fast they went day of sale. Still planning on traveling to cities to get tix day of, but LD would be awesome as ... well, costs add up smiling smiley

I have LDs for Boston. There are 3 of us attending the show. I need a strategy or an extra LD. Please message me if you have an extra tix.
I also have 2 standing GA’s for Vegas.

That’s exactly what we did in Houston. My sister can’t stand too long but we got pit. We already explored the trade option with the guys in line behind us. Worked out great!

In 2019 the lucky dip wristbands got me and a friend through 3 security checkpoints and into the pit near the front of the stage. Each checkpoint shined a flashlight on them and waved us through without hesitation. They either didn’t know or didn’t care. Our lucky dip seats were up in mid level of the stadium.

I got a spare LD for Vegas - We can meet at the venue and I will walk you in.
I would be very interested in the spare LD. 3 of us are going with 1 set of LD's. email wendycsorensen@hotmail.com if the spare LD is available.

I have Lucky Dip tickets for Phoenix and Boston. My first time with these tix (22nd and 23rd shows overall) Some questions...I realize it can vary at each venue.

Am I correct that it is the "luck of the draw" as to what ticket you get? Getting to box office early doesn't make a difference? Getting there early only important for your location in the pit?

Do they really walk you in from the box office? You can't pick up tix and hang at your car or wherever.

Is there an opportunity to swap tickets with others? I'd love to be in a Pit, but it may not be the best choice for the person that is coming to the show with me. Chance to swap to other good seat?

Anyone have any idea how many of these tix sold for each show?

Thanks! See you in Phoenix and Boston!

Neil

Hey Neil, yes it really is luck of the draw. I’ve done lucky dip about eight times and half of them were pit. Only once was it really bad and I should’ve moved. The only advantage to getting there early is if in fact you do get pit and want to get as close as possible. Merchandise is usually less crunch the earlier you get there. But it’s totally personal preference. It really depends on your stamina. I have been able to trade & in fact, in Houston with the guys behind us in line. The wristband is more of a souvenir Than a credential. I’ve never been escorted directly in. I don’t know how many lucky dipper offered so I can’t comment there. Prepare yourself for a fabulous time.

I have done Lucky Dips many times, and never once have I been directly escorted into the venue after picking up the tickets. I was always free to do whatever I wanted with them.

But apparently sometimes they do make you go right in. The rules say they "may" do that. To my knowledge it has happened at times on earlier tours.

Off the top of my head, I don't recall they doing the direct escort at any shows on the most recent tours (the 2022 tour or the 2021 tour), but maybe somebody else can confirm this.

After you pick up your Lucky Dip tickets, at that point they are like any other ticket. If they haven't been scanned, they can be swapped, sold, given away, etc.

(They also give you a Lucky Dip wristband along with the ticket, but the wristband itself is meaningless in my experience, no one ever bothers to check that)

I've had it happen twice... BOTH times in Vegas.

First time was the first time they had them ($85 Mystery Tix as they were known briefly..2013?) They had a large room you went to in the MGM next to the arena entrance, and we were then escorted directly into the arena after you got them.

Second time was their last concert in Vegas at Allegiant in 2021.. Went in to an enclosed box office area, and again, were not to go back out, but directly into the stadium.. A few did anyway, it was no easy feat, security yelling etc.

Not too surprising Vegas would take the rules seriously.. winking smiley

Sorry that happened to you. Hope you got good tickets after that…

We didn’t walk over to stadium from hotel until 7:45 or so. By then, there were 3 windows open; didn’t spend more than 2-3 minutes in line.

Good night for Lucky Dips; pulled a back row of Floor A2. Not bad for ~ $80 and change. (No escort BTW; maybe a pit thing? Was a bit of a hassle trading for wristbands and getting to floor, but part of the process nonsense these venues come up with…like the silly “pour a bottle of water in a plastic cup” rule.)

Thanks, DDDD.

I went back and tried to look it up, and it would seem that in Lyon 2022, they at least tried to escort the LD holders straight in. But that could be avoided. Here's grzegorz67's account: [iorr.org]

I doubled up with another fan who also had LDs. We collected his pair 1st, which were Section 421, right up in the rafters. There were stadium staff there to escort dippers inside so we slink off and sold out dud dips for €20 each. After a wait, we returned to try mine. They were looking out for double dippers because they challenged one woman they recognised. She snatched something from their hands and ran away with them shouting at her to return (presumably pit tickets?)

In Pittsburgh in 2015 they escorted us from the Lucky Dip window into the stadium. That was the only time for me in about 20 LD experiences.

With a window that didn’t open until 5 or 530pm. I was in line at 450pm and we missed the first band entirely. AZ sucks at big events. Or that venue does.

I don't understand why they have to wait until 6 PM to open the Lucky Dip pickup especially if they're not escorting people in right away.

And the ticket windows were on the outside of the building! They wouldn’t let people in the plaza outside until after 5. Merch stand outside you couldn’t access unless you had VIP tix. Merch lines were so packed inside they surely lost sales.
