Put an asterisk in the header as I've only been able to locate one piece confirming Hairball's (Eric's) passing on Sep 9th.
Perhaps others here who knew him could also confirm. Was able to match his full name etc from correspondence we had some years ago.

As much as we disagreed and argued on here (got banned arguing with him once) , I was pleasantly surprised to discover we got along great when we met in person a few times.

WTF? Didn't expect to see this. Met him at a number of shows and he hooked my son up with a lucky dip ticket for Santa Clara.

RIP Eric. He was a good guy. We had a fair amount of communication outside the forum as we had very similar musical tastes. Terrible news to start the day.

What a shock. I’m very sorry to hear of Hairball’s passing. I met him several times and always enjoyed our chats. He loved the Stones and music in general.
He attended many other concerts besides the Rolling Stones. My condolences to his
