Interesting thread...I'm guessing the lack of any new/original Stones material in such a long time might have something to do with the animosity.

It's Only Rock 'n Roll.................

this is a thread about officially released Stones single remixes. Do you have anything to contribute to this thread?

You have been wrong before (all the time).

Tattoo You, Honk etc., all albums remixed in Dolby Atmos, all tracks from the albums are official released long time ago [iorr.org]

dirk94 (ReelStone, Catlaw, wilff, zindy, TaurocTony, Morg, stefanz, jobt, Ronald Lieber) or whatever your name is.
You did not answer to my question again. Please read carefully.

On July 7, 2023 you stated

_________
I am asking you for the 4th time. Where did I say that Dolby Atmos is a mastering technology?

Please give a direct and simple answer and/or provide a link with my words on this matter. Just answer to this question.

- either admit that you made up the statement and apologize (or at least admit your mistake)
- or accept the fact that you are a useless thing, a fraud, a liar, a cheater, a manipulator, a troll and all 'RSTG' is a fake news.

The London mix of Harlem Shuffle, one of only 3 Stones singles to get more than one remix (UOTN and Too Much Blood being the other).

Aren't there many more singles with special mixes/remixes if you look at The Singles 1971–2006 - especially from 1989 ?

So I actually have that box and I just had a glance. Yes, loads of remixes. The hype sticker on the front says 80 tracks currently not available (some obviously B-sides and live tracks).

Rock in a Hard Place for example has 7 versions in total, Love is Strong 7 remixes, YGMR 3, ASMB 6, Saint of Me 7, OOC 8 (it gets quite ridiculous), Rain Fall Down 4, and then of course there's the SFTD release...how many was that, 4 or 5?

Holy crap.

OK.

AHEM

Not club "remixes".

I thought I was clear. Of course, I get that confusion, but for these fake Atmos people that don't understand what the word REMIX means in regard...

No one has posted anything from the remix of GOATS HEAD SOUP... because that's not a remix as the culture understands it.

These Atmos poseurs, one with 12 different names or whatever, are not part of the culture of remixes. They are the definition of frustrated suits/whatever college degrees/can't get a job claiming to be remix DJ's from mama's basement at the age of 27-38 GIVE OR TAKE, and in this case, it's take take take because that's what they do.

Atmos is fake. It's just different remastering. What a load of crap. As if all these artists and bands have allowed Atmos to simply "remix" their albums.

Atmos = FAKE!

Dirk... you know nothing.

You spew fake news. You claim things that aren't true - and then glaringly lie to Dande?

Dirt, or jobt or JacoubyWhatever, give it up, you and your little Atmos minions have failed.

All the time.

The whole time.

Every time.

Fake news.

Here's an actual remix for ya:

Do not show your overblown self esteem.

Rolling Stones remixed in Dolby Atmos is not for you.

You better stick with the dynamic range values and the CD import prices.

KEYBOARD WARRIOR BOI!

"Rolling Stones remixed in Dolby Atmos is not for you."

Said like a jobt or JacouDorkty whatever.

The Rolling Stones are not for you, Dirt94. Go find the new alternate version of Toto's Africa to talk about on their fan page or Etsy, whatever floats your lil' boat.

Meanwhile, back in the jungle, with a real remix...

What do you mean about that? That is not an answer!

Just answer to this simple question.

If you are not able to confirm your statement from July 7, 2023, you are a useless thing, a fraud, a liar, a cheater, a manipulator, a troll and all 'RSTG' is a fake news.

Ironbelly, if you can't prove, uh, confirm, that you ate a peanut butter and pickle sandwich on June 33rd you... wait... gotta copy and paste...

Ok

uh...

Wait.

Hold on. Can't find it.

Just a minute. Gotta call Google....

AH! A human being!

OK.

Got it.

Wait. Something hold down...

What? Do...

GOT IT!

"Rolling Stones remixed in Dolby Atmos is not for you."

DID YOU SAY IT!!!???

Oh wait. I kinda see where that's going. You didn't. But. If you have a fake mind. Not a New York State Of Mind but an Atmost Fake Mind.

Uhhhh. OK Ironbelly. I might've gotten that quote wrong. But. Join me and we can rule... shit. He did say OBI belts. Obviously he meant Obi-Wan Kenobi, he had his lightsaber on his belt, hence OBI belts. Lots of OBI belts, like so many we've never seen before.

Obviously.

Alright. OBI to Luke - Droid much?

ATMOS IS FAKE!

Although, that song is always under the radar. It works better as a video.

What I have learned in this thread is that RSTG has a very strange PR strategy: trying best to insult people who should be their very target audience.

But what goes the subject matter of this thread I perfectly understand what GasLightStreet is after with his traditional definition of 'remix', and what Dolby Atmos offers is something else. But is just semantics how people want to use words. The meaning of the words is the use of them, like Wittgenstein once put it aptly.

Yeah but those are club mixes, I meant the actual track.

Right. But the actual tracks? A majority of those are not. They've been augmented and altered with additional recording, samples, etc.

Yep. GOATS HEAD SOUP and SGT PEPPER, THE BEATLES, LET IT BE...NAKED, LET IT BE, ABBEY ROAD and REVOLVER have been remixed.

Those aren't remixes in the traditional sense, which is what 99.98% of people know.

There's this .02% of people that think something else is a "remix", like Dolby Atmos - it's not, it's just a bloated (23 channel) surround sound mix, overseen by Nick Reeves for UMG, at least for the UNZIPPED exhibition.

I don't know if the detail of this was posted, but to commemorate Mick's birthday, Universal Music is giving Forty Licks the Dolby Atmos treatment. They have not indicated which specific tracks are getting the treatment, but Universal Music is holding an invite-only listening party at The Dolby Theater on the 26th.

I was at one of these things for Pet Sounds a few weeks back, and the sound was spectacular. Will be interested to hear what Licks sounds like. On July 28th, they will be releasing a limited edition 4LP, 180-gram black vinyl version, housed in a wide spined gatefold sleeve. The digital version will be released on Mick's birthday.
