Thank you very much BV. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for all of your hard work. For over 30 years, this has been such a big part of my life. Again, thank you for everything you do.

Just to echo so many of the other posts on this thread - yes, IORR is the #1 Stones platform, and it has brought me so much pleasure and so many useful insights in the 18 years that I've been a part of it.

The clean/uncluttered layout, the user-friendliness of the site, the incredible knowledge of the fans who post here, and our shared love of the world's greatest rock and roll band, all make this one of my go-to websites, and I visit almost every day.

Thank you BV!!

Drew

It is the best band forum for any band. Why limit it to the Stones? Well done on all levels. Every one of us could add something to make it better, but twice as many would say the change made it worse. This site hits the sweet spot that meets all of our needs.

Moderating another forum site I get how much effort is required and appreciate all of BV's efforts. Its a labor of love and it shows.

I think so. Having the Buy/Sell/Trade forum is awesome.

I also think it would be nice to have a few new sub-forums. For instance, all the Mick Taylor related topics get disorganized in the "Mick Taylor Talk" thread. There could probably be an Off Topic sub-forum as well.

It’s a brilliant site - well designed and managed, great people, wonderful info you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Almost perfect! (Some of us remember the day it went green! grinning smiley) Many thanks Bjornulf - you’re the hardest man in the world to buy a beer for!

Off-Topic subforum? That's a recipe for disaster

Off-Topic subforum? That's a recipe for disaster

It's fairly common across the Internets

This has been requested and discussed before and IIRC bv has no interest in implementing subforums.

Ah, thanks.

This is probably the closest thing to a Mick Taylor forum, so it would be nice not to have everything lumped in a meandering thread every time his name is brought up. It's super hard to follow with multiple discussions going on at any given time.

I was on the old Undercover listserv, which was excellent. Shidobee on Facebook is cool, but iorr.org is my favorite. Knowledgeable fans, a lot of funny comments, and strong opinions about our band!

Thanks, BV: Keeper of the Flame!

I love this forum. I don’t login everyday, but I do check and read it every day. It is informative, easy, interesting and fun. Thank you, Bjornulf, for this wonderful gift to your fellow Stones fans.

Dammit! It's not that warm here in Tampere either, but that's cruel for supposed summer weather...

But to the question: yes. If one needs to dig up any Stones-related stuff a bit deeper, this is the place to go. Besides, personally, it starts to be hard to remember the times when I wasn't writing to IORR... Probably some 25 years and counting... Hitted the wall a couple of times, but still Rolling...

Thank you, BV.

only site i've ever been a member of or ever will be probably

it's my reason for using the internet

well maybe that's an exaggeration but it's not far from the truth reallywinking smiley

but you can seriously learn more about the band just regularly reading thru this site then you will from 90% of the books written about them

now that has to be some kinda evidence of just how great this place is

the layout could use some fresh paint here and there and it would be nice if we could use avatars, insert YB video's and could use some more emoticons..

Please no avatars, etc. Before you know it, it looks like one of the other Stones forums smoking smiley

Agreed 100+ per cent. No need for all that kind of clutter and mess.

Funny and nice too. My reason to be on internet is only one. It’s almost all the reasons I do things. From buying my first videorecorder, cd player, daily newspaper, computer desktop, going on internet as concequence, laptop, iPad and so on, and yes coming on this great internet site of bv (Bjornulf) IORR

Off course it is!

I don't want to challenge Bjornulf, but if he would find a way (page) for making "direct" links to the relevant Rolling Stones related (possibly English) Wikipedea pages (I'm afraid that could be a hell of a job) IORR would become unbeatable cool smiley

"direct" links to the relevant Rolling Stones related (possibly English) Wikipedea pages

That's easy:

The Rolling Stones in general - [en.Wikipedia.org]

RS Discography - [en.Wikipedia.org]

RS Tours 1963-2022 - [en.Wikipedia.org]

For more topics just follow the links within Wikipedia (or see the references there).

Well, here you go, Irix. Piece of cake cool smiley. Only need a proper spot to place those links, because after a while this current page and you mail will fade into the background cool smiley

Easy as well: place these links as bookmarks in your web browser. You could make a general bookmark, e.g. Stones and then set sub-bookmarks like IORR, Wikipedia, Tours or Discography.
