I Got The Blues from Sticky Fingers.

I agree with this. His performance of this track at the Fonda in 2015 was spectacular. Wish they threw it into the ballad slot more often.

From a technical viewpoint he's not much of a singer. You can't compare him with say John Farnham, Gary Brooker or Peter Gabriel; people who really can sing and hold notes. But he had a very prolific voice and manners which stood out in the world of rock and roll - and that is what matters. In the sixties his voice was softer and warmer; in the seventies it got rougher and rougher. His voice turned bad in the late nineties though and I sometimes find it unbearable to listen to. Mr Rotten and Mr Morgan talked about this in a recent interview.

He proved to be a fantastic singer from the start of the Rolling Stones: That's How Strong My Love Is, She Said Yeah, Route 66 etc etc. Many different styles and his singing is so excellent on all these tracks!!! One of the very very best in the history of music!!!

Got to give a shout out to the ad-lib portion of Goin' Home. That was the first one that really nailed me to the wall. Maybe not the best, but the first.

There are numerous.

He has so many voices, he isn't of course classicaly trained and all that, but he is so fabulous at giving voice to what James Joyce called "my multible mes" and Walt Whitman called "I contain multitudes".
To me it's very hard to just mention a few, as Rockman says it would take days to mention highlights, but a few personal favourites should be mentioned: Soul Survivor!! (my God, if the Keith vocal had survived...). Angie! Stray Cat Blues! It won't take long! Melody (or Black and Blue as a whole, except Cherry oh baby)! The b-side of Tattoo You! Fingerprint File! Play with fire! Lady Jane! Some Girls (the titel track, or the whole album)! It's hard to mention just a few...

Before he turned 40 the list is ridiculous it’s so good, just too many to mention.

After 40 he became more of a proper singer, he hit notes, saved his voice and really did some great stuff live and in the studio but was at times a bit contrived.instead of letting it fly and spilling his guts he came off as reciting lyrics.

That said, a million great moments during live shows on Angie, Wild Horses etc
On record , Laugh I nearly Died he really sang from the heart.

Not their greatest song, but Mick's vocal on "Emotional Rescue" is pretty amazing.

If we're going for most astonishing, I'd say it was the "Brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters, what for are we fighting(?)" bit during Altamont.

Evening Gown from Wandering Spirit. It has a bittersweet sentimentality and weariness about it that sounds authentic and from the heart. Fantastic vocal performance.

Out Of Control from Bridges To Babylon. It's just so full of nostalgic emotion and a twinge of regret, vocally Mick's voice aligns with the lyrics perfectly. He's in storyteller mode on this and wants you to believe him.

and let's not underrate his background vocals on In Another Land.

But seriously, I think No Expectations is up there with the best already mentioned (Moonlight Mile, etc.). Also, Confessing the Blues on 12x5 surprises me every time I listen to it with how good the vocals are

I Got The Blues from Sticky Fingers. His loneliness, his plaintive passion just envelope the great backing my the band and give me the chills every time I hear it.
