He’s been around for a long time,best known for being in the Marilyn Manson band but he’s worked with everyone from Rod Stewart to David Lee Roth and i think KD Lange for a bit.
He’s currently the guitar player in Motley Crue.
When a guitar player instantly knows who Paul Kosoff is you know they’re the real deal.
He really lit up when the guy handed him the YA YAs Les Paul. He nailed that CYHMK riff.

John 5 plays Brian Jones' Vox Teardrop Guitar

I stumbled upon this video below posted over five years ago on the Hard Rock YouTube channel.
John 5 Plays 7 unbelievably iconic guitars from Hard Rock's vault.
Beginning at the 2:55 mark, John 5 is noodling around on Brian Jones' Vox teardrop guitar. Later at the 5:12 mark, John 5 is playing the riff to 'The Last Time' on the guitar.
On a side note, John 5 is playing Mick Taylor's 1958 Gibson Les Paul beginning at the 12:35 mark. Then at the 16:22 mark, John 5 is playing the riff to 'Bitch'.
The Vox teardrop guitar is featured in more detail in this older video below, which is also from the Hard Rock YouTube channel.
Guitar Player magazine recently posted an article here about the guitar as well.

I don't think I have ever heard of John 5. I did see John 3:16 at the Olympics.
