What on earth are the chances that Keith heard this?? This is the thing: there’s only so many chords; so many melodies. What a coincidence. I do think it’s an OK song.

It's not a coincidence besides the guitar riff. Almost copy and paste. Very likely the Stones came first.

The whole vocal approach is similar. I guess here we have that band saying they played it out all the time, while the Stones haven’t said anything. Maybe Jagger heard Satisfaction and came up with the vocals, it reminded him of it. Who knows?

I don’t know, but he should have for JJ Flash

Nope, that was Keith. (yes, i'm aware of wyman's claim in his book)

Yes, it was Bill who created the riff and yeshe would have been credited today.

Well again, Bill 'claims' that. And if so, Keith could probably sue as a rip off of Satisfaction riff.

Keith: (I used a) Gibson Hummingbird (acoustic) tuned to open D, six string. Open D or open E, which is the same thing - same intervals - but it would be slackened down some for D. Then there was a capo on it, to get that really tight sound. And there was another guitar over the top of that, but tuned to Nashville tuning. I learned that from somebody in George Jones' band in San Antonio in (1964)... (The high-strung guitar) was an acoustic, too. Both acoustics were put through a Phillips cassette recorder. Just jam the mic right in the guitar and play it back through an extension speaker.
