Ron Wood - New painting of the Rolling Stones in Cuba

Ronnie showcased a new painting of the Rolling Stones performing on the streets of Cuba. It's a pleasant surprise for me to see Darryl included in the painting. It's also interesting to see that Charlie apparently had Wolverine claws. That's a fun trivia fact!

RW could have made a living as a street artist in some tourist hotspot in southern Europe.

No, seriously, I love the guy. But I hope no one ever gives me one of his paintings/prints as a present, except gor the setlists.

I knew we had a lot of music critics on the site...just didn't know we had so many art critics too......

Not really critics, just people expressing either a thumbs up or a thumbs down opinion really !

I've got a number of pieces of Ronnie's artwork:

Before they make me run
Conversation Piece
Wild Horses

Love looking at them. In other words: a big big thumbs up as regards all of them. But this latest of "the Stones in Cuba", a big thumbs down. At least, that's my opinion. Not a criticism per se, just a simple expression of dislike, thass'all !

I couldn't be either a music critic or an art critic anyway, I'm spectacularly ill-equipped to meaningfully criticise either art or music. It's much simpler, I either like it - or I don't !

Not a fan of Ronnie's artwork.
Have always admired him as a musician throughout his entire career.
