Hi all, are the DAC versions of the 1981 tour WV releases the ones to get or are all releases much the same in terms of sound quality? Thanks!

Is Wolfgangs Vault worth the subscription price? Looks to be approx $50 per year. In the scheme of things today that is not much. Just wondering what you all thought.

Thanks dcba! I'm listening to the 81 tour a lot at the moment. Hampton 19th is arguably a better performance than the 18th.

Most of the time the DAC versions are not the ones you got to have, they have a much more muddy/dull sound, because of their "noise reduce system" they use. The No(n) Label versions are much better, because they have a clearer sound.
But what Paul says: You can donwload them.

Damn, I was hoping this thread would be about Wolfgang Van Halen's opening of the VH vaults with live shows from the 1981 tour, especially that elusive Oakland show that everyone seems to be raving about!
