"Gimme Shelter" will be on the setlist I think. In 2022 they did a statement on tour with the video from Ukraine on the screens. And remember the choir in Vienna...

Yep. Here is the setlist:

1. Gimme Shelter
2. The new single, released by then.
3. We Love You (with Macca)

Short and sweet.

Wembley Stadium: No plans to host Live Aid-style Ukraine benefit gig

Christopher Barrett
March 7, 2023

A televised fund-raising concert at Wembley Stadium in aid of Ukraine will reportedly take place on 24 June, clashing with the Glastonbury Festival and BST Hyde Park.

Acts including the Rolling Stones, U2 and Pink have been invited to perform at the North London venue, according to The Sun. Among the other acts reportedly invited to perform at the show are Sir Paul McCartney, Adele, Noel Gallagher and Florence and the Machine.

Despite the widespread reports, a Wembley Stadium spokesperson said that no such event is scheduled at the venue: “We do not have confirmation with any promoter for any other concerts in 2023 other than those that are currently on sale.”

Should it go ahead as reported, the timing of the charity event is expected to limit the number of major acts able to perform, with so many artists already committed to play Glastonbury the same weekend, while AEG Presents’ BST Hyde Park will see acts including Pink and Gwen Stefani play on 24 June.

The report comes on the back of a record-breaking 2022 for Wembley Stadium, during which it hosted a collective attendance of 2.6 million across 35 major events. Should the Ukraine benefit gig take place, it will be among many hosted by the venue in its centenary year including four June shows by Harry Styles, Def Leppard & Motley Crue on 1 July, Blur on 8 and 9 July, and The Weeknd on 18 August.

Well you have to ask why Wembley would deny it, if it is actually going to happen?

Moreover, why the Sun would come up with such a detailed lie if in fact it's a lie?

Somethin' ain't right!

If it’s true, maybe the concert is only in the early planning stages? Then if enough performers sign on, the date will be officially booked with the venue.
However it does sound odd not to have any performers booked yet and they are just now sending out “invitations”. It’s a good idea to have such a event and it would certainly bring aid to the people of Ukraine. We will see…

The Stones have done benefit concerts before. Nicaragua. Live Aid (not the Stones but all 3 current members). SARS Concert in Toronto. (I won't count the concert of the blind in Oshawa). Any others?

While the Stones set at SARS was a bit of a letdown (OK they were low energy and lost the momentum build by ACDC, Rush and The Guess Who), Keef going after someone in the crowd who was abusing Justin Timberlake was memorable, as was ACDC joining the band for a song.

Maybe the reason the US tour is delayed?

There have been rumours of a large event coming to the Woodstock site this year. Not the newish stage/venue, but the original hill/field for the first time in 50+ years

Not a chance. They wouldn't move a 14-show tour for this reason.

That's the world. There is an error in it.

But who knows the origin.. Could be it someone somewhere out there is actually speculating about the idea. "Would it be great if..." then THE SUN heard a word about it. And within a second, a headliner story, no facts checked.

I guess, but what is actually in it for them to do so? Does the lie move papers? That seems unrealistic...who's gonna buy the paper because of one crummy fake story?

Live Aid was in 1985, so how could something in 2012 be described as the original of it?
