Short & curlies, very juicy and melodic throughout the entire song.

I like when he sticks to the rhythm or keeps the leads short and sweet.

Great video Dutchman, this is like a Rorschach test for a Stones fan-if you can understand why this throwaway song on a second tier album is better than anything released in the last forty years you truly understand The Rolling Stones.
Certainly is a great video.Oneof the 1972 live performancesscenes where they are being filmed from behind the speakers isnot from the releases 1972 movies Ladies and Gentlemen and CS Blues. And the quality of the film is much better.I wonder if there is more complete live songs somewhere

That's Keith? Sounds more like Mick Taylor to me.

It's Keith. The slide is Taylor.

Oh, good to know. Thanks!

Agreed; footage follows music indeed.

For me any album with If You Can’t Rock Me, IORR,Time Waits For No One, Luxury , If You Really Want to be My Friend, and Fingerprint File is not a second tier album.

So it’s -

Beggars Banquet
Let it Bleed
Sticky Fingers
Exile on Main Street
It’s only rock and roll?

Thanks for the update…but seriously, it’s only a second tier STONES album.
Put it this way, it’s better than Abbey Road.

«Keithified» Berry-solos like Hang Fire and Fight deserve a mention, imo.

Mick Taylor played solo and rhythm on dance little sister-studio-. Brilliant, imo. Keith did the straight forward dirty work.

Till the next goodbye's slide was very basic and beautiful. Either Taylor or Keith. Likely Keith. Who cares.

The slide is Keith. Taylor's double harmony acoustics are beautiful on this one, imo.

Great topic as there is such a wealth of exciting material to choose from. My favorites in no particular order would be:
SFTD
Let me go
Union Square from Rain dogs by Tom Waits

if we extend to include live work then I would add the following two:
Around and Around from Love you Live
Your cheatin’ heart with Jerry Lee Lewis

I can't believe no one mentioned It's all over now.

Just as long as the guitar plays, let it steal your heart away

Maybe because Keith wrote in Life that he was embarrassed by it? I like it, though thumbs up

A song where he sings or a guitar solo?

Ha...I read 'solo' as vocal. But yeah it probably reads better as guitar solo.

In that case, for me, SFTD.

Sorry! I meant guitar solo. Should’ve been clearer.

No problem at all! I should have interpreted it as guitar solo as 'vocal solo' doesn't really make sense. But thanks for clarifying.
