The irony is inescapable.

Current mainstream culture appears to promote transient intrinsically valueless and pointless things like Kidrobot (and a few weeks ago bea@brik - or something).

The Stones trying to join in looks like some 95yr old bloke going to a night club normally for 20yr olds and trying to look cool and hip and trendy. But only ending up being creepy and an embarrassment.

Stick to The Blues.

Well, a couple of years ago they did stick to the blues, but if we are to believe many posters in the new album thread that doesn't count...

But yeah, this is as mainstream culture stuff as it could be. This is what mainstream nowadays is, and The Stones are doing well there. The brand smells.. sorry, sells.. They wouldn't release stuff like this if there weren't people who actually buys it.
