A nice read on a really great album. I played the living hell out of it when the album was first released. Still have it. Still listen to it.

An absolutely great album. Hearing Wolf tell Eric how to play is just great.

The re-release De Luxe version (mid 90's??) is the version to have)

Charlie and Bill were brought in because, worthy musicians though they are, Klaus and Ringo couldnt get the feel for Wolf's music. Ringo was intimidated by Wolf and was happy not to return.

" Moanin' at Midnight: The Life and Times of Howlin' Wolf" is a great source of info for all things Howlin' Wolf and a very entertaining read.

Which highlights no matter how brilliant the Beatles were as musicians, they didn't have the feel when it came to the blues.
