Do they give you a volume discount, like if I wanted to buy a dozen?

Steiff is very well known here in Germany. I got some Steiff stuff as a baby for example a big bear and today it still is in very good condition. These toys can last a whole human life. I simply don't like the look of this bear that much so I won't buy it. But there's alo a smaller bear available for around 70€ on the Carnaby store. I might buy that one.

Steiff Bears are lovely, but this isn’t very nice. My mum still has hers from the 60’s - named ‘Elvis’

Judging from the somewhat ruffled appearance this must be the Keith bear. I'd like to see a Mick bear too (wondering how they would do the lips) ...

Historians will look back at this moment and identify it as the moment that The Rolling Stones (merchandising) lost the plot.

Why this moment? I would think it happened well before, perhaps with the various drinks or foodstuffs, such as beer or chocolate...remind me of what and when...

What exactly was the merchandising 'plot', before now?

I am holding out so far. She did get a 10% coupon from Steiff. She does have other Steiff products and they are shockingly expensive. We will see.

I suspect one will be gracing my Stones themed office this summer. But, her money and she is a strong independent women, so my grumbling only goes so far.

So...I don't think they've lost it in that case...it sounds like they are finding ever-expanding ways to exploit the plot!

For me , good taste in merchandising ends after the music, posters and the odd T-Shirt.

The rest is shameless exploitation, within the modern consumer society, of folks all too willing to be exploited.

That said...some folks love all the nonsense and nobody makes us buy it.grinning smiley

I have pretty similar thoughts, but I was thinking what could be 'good taste' merchandise that would somehow be relevant to the Stones and what they represent (teddy bears not so). Maybe booze, dope, cigarettes, mars bars, swimming pools, hair dye, work-out and rehab programmes, viagra, financial consultation and bad behaviour?smoking smiley
