Sure did.
It was a few months after the release of Hotel California so that was the main source for the concert. But hey, Randy's song was still one of the best.
But my all time favorite album by the Eagles remains "Desperado" and that will not change anymore.

Van Halen June 2, 1981 Pacific Coliseum Vancouver. A little over a week before they filmed their videos from Oakland Coliseum for Unchained, So This Is Love and Hear About It Later. If you watch the Youtube vids, that's basically what I saw!
Of all the times I've seen VH, 81,82,84,86,91,95,07,12, that was the best.
First Stones was Steel Wheels at BC Place in Vancouver November 1, 2 1989.

Oh my, you were there…that was one of the most mythical concerts of Hendrix, which happened on 5 April, 1968, the day after Marin Luther King’s assassination! According to one eyewitness, Hendrix (allegedly) delivered an impromptu instrumental performance dedicated to Reverend King, which stunned the audience. It has been argued among the Hendrix-philes whether that actually happened or not. Some deny that, claiming it was just another rock ‘n’ roll myth-making.

The following link is the related thread on a French Hendrix forum with some photos from the night (you can easily translate the posts into English using DeepL translator).

Sorry for me being nosy, but do you have something to add to what happened that night? I’d appreciate your personal recollections, especially the setlist if you remember any. Thanks (in advance).

Elvis, 1977

How was that? I can imagine a combination of excitement and sadness...

Saw him in Duluth, Mn. April 29, 1977.
I was 11 years old. I'm 56 now.
My parents are huge fans and they had an extra ticket, so I went. I remember a lot about it, even the clothes I wore.
I've heard the soundboard, and he sounded surprisingly well on songs that didn't bore him. I heard him sing "Bridge Over Troubled Water'' - kind of rare for that year - and it was fantastic. Still can't believe my own ears heard that. He was onstage for about an hour, and also did a lot of talking. There were a few instrument solos in there too.
Aside from my parents, I am the only person I have met who has seen him.
Looking back, it's a highlight in my life.
Me seeing Elvis is why I have taken my 15-year-old twin girls to see the Stones and McCartney.
When they are my age, I want them to have the same memory - and bragging rights - of seeing legends of that magnitude.

Yes it was amazing fun - This Ain't the Summer of Love, Cities on Flame With Rock and Roll, Godzilla, , etc., etc., etc., and of course Don't Fear the Reaper...
Was expecting and hoping for a bit "more cowbell", but............winking smiley

Around the same time c.'76/'77, I saw glam band Angel at a free concert at the Santa Monica Civic as some sort of promo/publicity stunt they were doing (evidently they were "discovered" by Gene Simmons).
For free it wasn't bad, but realistically...they were terrible live. Can't recall if it was before or after the BOC concert, but truth be told I've been trying to forget about it for over 45 years now!

That would have been a great double bill to see! Priest on their Point of Entry tour and Saxon touring for Denim and Leather album. Saw Priest in 82 in Vancouver on the Screaming For Vengeance tour and Saxon in 83 when they opened for Iron Maiden.
