I was able to grab a decent single for this. Still keeping eyes out for a better one.

Ya, the tickets I saw were all "Official Platinum" from the beginning. All very expensive, even at the very back. I guess standard pricing kind of doesn't exist anymore.

It's a two night event so you don't know who is going to play which evening. It's not far from me. I might go night of and try to get a ticket at the box office. Anybody know what they're charging? Hollywood Bowl concerts are usually cheaper than most of the market.

In 3 years time, Bill Wyman will celebrate his 90th! Would be nice to see a similar event.

The event at the indigo for his 80th was a lot of fun.

Here's a short video of a mate of mine on a three week Tour with James Walbourne a few years ago,and they eventually met up with the great Willie Nelson.

Didn't all go according to plan,but thats life I guess.

A Beautiful Time, the album he releaaed on his 89th b-day last year, is excellent. Just one song on it, Energy Follows Thought, misfires. The rest is amazing coming out of somebody his age.

It serves as a good example for the Stones! This can be done.

It's easy especially the way Willie does it: his producer friend Buddy Canon gathers the tunes, arranges them and records the band; basically preps it for Willie so all he has to do is walk in from the tour bus, record his vocals and Trigger and call it a day. Pretty easy. Yeah if the Stones could do it this way it'd be pretty simple.

Mr. Nelson won Grammys last night for best country album and best country solo performance.

I believe Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die was inspired by Keith! i.e. Keith's controversial comments regarding smoking his father's ashes after he passed away - Willie's song was done not too long after that, from what I recall.

Keith claimed to have snorted his father's ashes.

Saw Willie on Maui last year around Christmas time and it was fantastic. They had Trigger loud and center in the mix. His voice sounds better than it did a few years ago when he was still smoking more. Lukas/Micah are amazing.

Seeing him again tonight at Frost Ampitheater in Palo Alto!

Hope Keith shows up for the celebration!

I wonder if Keith is going to play at Willie's 90th gig given that they go back a long way of playing together.

The cheapest seat is $300 for one night. Too rich for my blood. I saw him at the Hollywood Bowl with a 40 piece orchestra. I don't think he ever did there anywhere else. A magical night. I'm hoping they film/video this for a commercial release. They did it for a Jeff Beck concert a couple years back and it's fantastic.
