The're big boys and they will do as they want.

They are no rebels anymore but still... I am already very disappointed by the fact they stopped playing Brown Sugar...

IMHO it'd be more logical to have Mick than to have the Stones on such an event

There are a bunch of usual suspects for playing at royal occasions, and the Stones are not among them.

No. There is a weekend of celebrations planned with a Bank Holiday, and one of the suggested activities is to organise a street party for your neighbourhood. This list has been put together by some civil servant as a suggested play list of significant pop songs from KC's lifetime to play at your party - if you want. I highly doubt it has anything to do at all with the King who is known to prefer classical music.

I’m sure Mick would attend if invited,,though I can’t imagine him performing. This is an occasion for Rod, Elton and Cliff. Possibly Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey, for the Welsh connection.

That would be a cool - and surprisingly relevant - song to add to the playlist...

I have a wonderful fascination for the royal family. That being said, I have absolutely no interest in this, though I'll probably tune in, only for the historic nature of it.

The only reason that ageing musicians and entertainers get gongs is that they were/are the worshipped icons of those now deciding who gets one !

I wonder how many of these songs King Chuck has actually heard. I'd be surprised if it were more than half.
