I think for Stones Songs you can't go wrong with an E harp

I see that these harmonicas come in different keys, knowing absolutely nothing about the harmonica does anyone know if Mick tends to use the same ‘key’ in a lot of the classic tracks? I wouldn’t mind trying to learn

Does someone still have the link for that devilish harp driven tune Mick shared a few years ago?

I’m hardly an expert, but I’m pretty sure Mick plays “cross harp,” like most blues players. So if you’re playing Midnight Rambler in B, for instance, you’d use a harp in the key of E (which gives you the notes of B Mixolydian, as opposed to the less bluesy notes of B major.

The most important thing, though, is to use a blues harmonica — the simple Marine Band harmonicas you’d get for a child do not allow you to bend the notes, which is an absolute must.

Have anyone realize that the post is re-added on his social media???
There was a short part of a song, something REALLY interesting and new (I guess), but now you can only hear the harmonica.

Ha, yes, I had quote-tweeted the clip, noting the new tune, and now it’s deleted.

Caught him red-handed!

The limited edition Mick Jagger x Lee Oskar harmonica, exclusive to whynow Music. Available in 10 keys, the harmonica combines the sound quality and design of Lee Oskar with the musical know-how of Mick Jagger. Find out more about the Lee Oskar design and how to play. Discover now.

Mick's beginning to show his age more than ever, but still looking great for a 79 year old; especially considering the heart issues he had a couple of years ago, as well as covid more recently. He's truly a SUPER MAN!
I used to dabble on the harmonica back in high school, but was more focused on guitar...never became a virtuoso at either, but might be fun to pick up a Mick Jagger harmonica to make some noise.

Thanks Spunky and U2Stonesfan.

Not bad harp playing. I must admit I'm not a fan of the echoing effective on that one little snippet of I wake up sick. Reminds me of how B&L sounds. For me, I think it detracts from the listening and enjoying experience. Here's hoping that the album - if one assumes that's a snippet from a track on the upcoming album - has a much 'softer' sound to it!!!

Where did you see the prices? The link on the website is still not live for me. I checked with a local music store that carries this brand harmonica, and they have a 5-pack with case for $250. They're not Jagger's signature ones, but I'm guessing that something similar for all 10 would be north of $500?? Looks like the average price for a Lee Oskar harmonica is about $45-$50.

Thank you! Damn it, it sounds like, you know, The Rolling Stones...

And not just Mick plays damn mean harp, probably no other harp player is so photogenic when the man moves like, you know, Jagger.

Thanks Irix. I think my company's firewall is preventing the site from loading. I got it on my phone. $600 and change for the whole set, in individual cases....Free shipping it says too.
