I wonder if Mick will also perform at the upcoming Jeff Beck tribute shows next month at the Royal Albert Hall? After all Jeff played on his first 2 solo records + they have performed together a few times over the years, I think last time at the White House doing "Commit A Crime". Ronnie is already announced to appear at the event.

We can hope ! I bought the ticket way back whenever it was in the hope (and belief) that at least Ronnie would contribute, and that was subsequently confirmed some time afterwards. Also, at the time I bought the ticket, I was thinking that Mick might put in an appearance too. It would be great if he did. We shall wait n' see, one never knows. Not that long to go now .......... a little over a month !

Steve Lukather on Jeff Beck
Date: May 11, 2023 16:49

Hello, I saw this recent article with Steve Lukather in Guitar Player discussing Jeff Beck here, which is a great read.

On a side note, Beck has the same duck face expression as Keith Richards here.

Got back from the RAH night #1.
It was like a mini-English version of Crossroads Guitar Festival.
Fantastic 3-hour event and some unusual song selection — a reggae version of Shapes Of Things by Clapton, anyone?
Expensive, yes, but worth it.

Ronnie played bass for Rice Pudding, saying, “back to the Jeff Beck Band.” I don’t think he said Jeff Beck “Group”.

Stellar show! I was going to start with shout-outs for, say, Joss Stone and Gary Clark Jr, but all the artists merited the same. It felt as if they all put their heart and soul into every song. And Rod Stewart injected some of his inimitable humour into the proceedings. If I heard right, Eric introduced Ronnie as a gatecrasher lol….

It’d be great if Jimmy Page took the stage, considering just how far back he and Jeff went. He lives very nearby to the venue, too.

Really strange that Jimmy Page is not participating in this!
Perhaps he was in the audience?
