The original B&W footage was on the Crossfire Hurricane Blu Ray as bonus material. Some Songs were on the standard edition and even more on the japanese one!

pretty lame audience – obviously they haven't learned yet how to behave at a rock show
(on the other hand: Münster used to be very catholic in those days (and still is)

Obviously good colorization is still not here. Maybe it is for a very high price, which makes colorizing footage like this not economically feasible. Someday soon, good cheap colorization will make some of this footage look realistic.

I think crossfire hurricane had 3 versions each with different bonus material: European, American and Japanese.

Exciting footage, but colourising black & white film is the visual equivalent of converting mono into reprocessed stereo...

What a nice Christmas release, thanks, coloring not bad at all, lifts the B&W footage to a higher level. So little footage of this periods live performances out there with acceptable sound.

Amazing they played to the audience without micing the guitars and drums. Au naturel, that was the norm. Also impressive to see how strongly Brian drives the boogie rhythm in Reeling and Rocking and Keith playing his signature lead riffs. Like Satisfaction just after.

This is probably the earliest known live recording of Satisfaction which was released less than month before. Do we have any earlier recordings of Satisfaction?

A great find. And fabulous to hear Brian loud and clear in the mix for a change.

Was it indeed recorded in May? According to Gazza setlists Satisfaction was first performed in Dublin 3.9.65 (early show).

- Satisfaction (MJ/KR) -mimed to rejected version I from Chess 10th May 1965

So it wasn't live really. It's interesting to hear alternative version though.

I think it's actually part-live: live vocal, pre-recorded backing track. I agree it's interesting to hear though (presumably a full studio version still exists "in the vaults"!).

Interesting missed typo there. On 2nd May they can't have mimed to a version not recorded until 10th May. :-)

Shindig was on 20th May 1965

Oops... you're right (I was mixing up the date with the Ed Sullivan Show!).

Mick has changed his stage persona constantly for 60 years now. His dance moves, acting and prancing differ from tour to tour.

I wonder: could Mick do a show now with his moves of 65? Would it work at all? How would the audience react?
