Does anyone know if there is a live video out there of the Stones performing this in the early 1970’s, soon after the Marquee, I think?

Marquee was the only live performance until 1999!

Hartford, Memphis and San Jose 1999.

Wow, I didn’t realize it’s been played so little. Interesting trivia! I must be thinking of the Marquee. Thanks for your replies

There aren't any other versions from the early 1970s, except for the two Marquee-takes.

There are 3 versions from The Marquee 1971. Maybe you were thinking of one of the two alternate takes from this date.

Actually 3 versions from 2 performances. The "official" one is a mix of both perfomed versions which are both added as bonus tracks.

I know this. But he asked for versions from the early 1970s. Spamming the thread with 1990s and later versions is off topic imo. But who cares. It is normal in this forum that almost every thread gets off topic.

I'm quite sure that I have seen this picture before ?

This is the caption for this photo printed in one of Tony's books... De Rolling Stones.

Black and white version heavily cropped appears in Tony's "Up And Down With The Rolling Stones" and "De Rolling Stones"

Thanks! This song is incredible, everything about it, imo.

I imagine some will kvetch, but I have always disliked this song to the point where I delete it from downloads, do not add and/or skip it on playlists, and do all possible to avoid it.

Always thought it was among the lamest and boring songs the band ever did. It drags, drags, drags, and draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagz. Snore of a song. I know many'all disagree, and that's ok.
