Very cool, though the captions are completely messed up. First pic is said to be 1966. Pretty sure it’s later. Also very confusing captions where Jagger is on the way to Horsens wearing two different outfits.

Great photos....thanks for the link.

Anyone notice Brians Vox Teardrop guitar in photo 10, on stage in Copenhagen ?

It seems to have no solid back panel.....more like a banjo back.

Has anyone more info on why the guitar is like that ?????

I have never seen any other photos of Brian's guitars like that, they have all had solid backs?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Great pics. Found the black n white ones more interesting. The one with the girl "levitating" is fantastic, perfect timing from the photographer.

What you're seeing as a hollow in the back of the Vox is in actual fact a pop on cover, designed to protect the back of the guitar from "buckle rash" and similar damage.
It always puzzled me that Vox should take this issue so seriously when so few other makers eve had before [or since ! ]

If the first picture was actually taken in Denmark it must be from Aarhus, September 1973.

Thanks for sharing. Lovely pictures. At the show in Horsens in 06, I was invited backstage before the show for a special meet and greet. That was truly a moment of a life time for me.

Just about all 1960's Gretsch models had a vinyl pad on the back to protect it from buckle rash, and to cover a removable plate with access to the electronics.

I just don't see them in Denmark in 40 years, that puts them at close to 120 years old.

Ronnie maybe.

From the vault of the fantastic newspaper fotograf Børge Venge. He was a very good friend of my parents. He was in Both Stones concert in Aarhus . He took hundreds of pictures . In the first concert he was forced away by roadies. But he had survived a nazi kz Camp - so he did not Care and carried on. He gave me some paper pictures for xmas in 1973.
