OT: Happy Turkey Day

For those of us here at IORR who celebrate it, Happy Turkey Day. May your giblet gravy be good, ladled all over your stuffing and mashed potatoes. May your greenbean casserole be comfy food as ever. And don't forget to watch, whichever way you can, the Thanksgiving episode of WKRP (or the clip from it on utoob). You can also watch the first Rocky movie which has a Thanksgiving bit in it. I'll do both. Enjoy your feast.

Happy Thanksgiving!

By the way, in October 2022, the Council of the European Union approved a request from the Permanent Delegate of Türkiye to the European Union to change the way we refer to the country from “Turkey” to “(Republic of) Türkiye.” This currently only applies to documents in English. For the time being, the name of the country in other languages remains unchanged.
So when Turkey is going to be called Türkiye, what is turkey going to be called?
In Turkish turkey is Hindi, but in Hindi turkey it is called turkee, but in Goa (India) it is called Peru (despite coming from Mexico), in Peru .... smiling smiley

I always loved WKRP back in the day, and their Thanksgiving episode is indeed a classic! And if you're also looking to watch another perfect Thanksgiving movie, I'd suggest adding "Planes Trains & Automobiles" to your viewing lineup!

Enjoy your holiday!

I often refer to it as Turkey-Day myself so no worries dmay you’re not alone. Everyday is a day to give thanks, not just today. If you wake up this side of the dirt it is a great day no matter what your situation. I hope everyone has a remarkable day!!! One month from today is Christmas Eve!!!! May everyone find many deals on great Stones gear these next 24-hours and don’t eat too much!!! Safe travels to all who are traveling!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to our southern neighbours! Of course, Thanksgiving Day in Canada is the same day as Columbus Day in the states. Eat turkey, watch football (both NFL and FIFA World Cup) and enjoy the Black Friday deals!
