Another hero gone...Saw Dr Feelgood many times in the 70s, had a lasting effect on me...

It was 1987. The first and only time I saw Wilko Johnson, he was a member of Ian Dury and the Blockheads. He also took the stage for a support slot with his own band. Played the guitar like a machine gun on both sets. During the interval, I overheard a punter telling to his mate, “He’s like Schwalezenegger!” That’s resonating in my head to this day.

From a purely visual perspective alone, Wilko and Norman Watt-Roy were a great combination on stage (didn't sound too bad either...).
