It is a tough call in both respects.

Those two are the best teams in tournament for sure, but I still think neither is a 'perfect' team. Both are able to score very effectively, although not being that active in attack play. Despite the latter both have shown some weak spots in a defence play. Both were a bit lucky in semifinals by having a pretty easy first goal that changed the nature of the game against two strong 'defence first' teams. But especially France had a lot of difficulties with Morocco (but probably anyone would have) Probably due to that (plus the odd mistakes against England) and Argentina just getting stronger in the course of the tournament that makes me think that Argentina may have a bit better changes to win. Besides, there seems to be that Messi aura (football gods) there that works for them. Not to forget the health problems within French team.

My heart says neither. But probably just for Messi having his ultimate crown and a beautiful end for his incredible career some sort of football romantic in me roots a bit for Argentina. Besides France just won four years ago, so would it be too much to win again? They are great, but not that great...

But it will be a helluva match! Let the best win!

It's not the team only, it's the everyday work since 1998 of the staff and coach.
I simply just couldn't imagine after the 1994 disaster, that years after we will won 1 Euro and 2 World Cup and in the same time lose 1 Euro and another World Cup.
Winning a World Cup is just a graal, losing it, you recall it during decades.

in France, some people said that the argentinian behaviour towards the Netherlands was agressive and not fair play...

there are some good reasons to be perplex about the referees'and FIFA's job in this world cup.

The ref of the final is Polish....I hope he forgot that France defeated Poland in the 1/8 !

for the first time in 40 years I didn't watch a single match. Football World Cup in winter is so absurd. I'm not even boycotting it – I just lost all interest

Damn, I thought Argentina was slightly a favourite, but didn't expect that to come. What a period! They played best, active football in this tournament (not just by them, but by any team). So determinate, controlling everything. France is famous for their passive game, but now they were totally teethless. They need some kind of miracle to change the course of this game. But things like that sometimes happen. Let's see!

The French get completely outplayed and are clueless. This hurts my eyes. Argentina shows how to handle the opponent.

What a lopsided final. The score doesn't reflect the true game.
A number of teams would have been better in France's place here.

What incredible ups and downs in emotion.Kudos to Messi and Mbpappe for an incredible duel between maybe the GOATand the great young star.Here in America a lot of people say soccer is boring,maybe because we don’t have soccer leagues that rival baseball or football.A lot of people until recently did not grow up playing soccer. But I’ve never seen a football or baseball game more exciting than this World Cup final
